you haven't been following the news for the last year. They pretty much new that last year would be the en of big touring. Now it seems we'll get a couple select shows a year.

They did more dates on the 40th Anniversary tour than they had done in years. They announced then they would cut back in 2010 (13 shows done with 1 more to go).

We won't see another touring year like 2009 but I wouldn't be surprised if they do more dates next year....nothing is guaranteed!

The band played more shows than usual last year. This year they're taking time off to give time to members with their own projects to nurture and promote - Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi's band, Gov't Mule and Gregg are all out on tour or will be - so there's still plenty of ABB-related music to be heard.

The Allman Brothers will be back on the road next year - perhaps not as actively as in the past - but the road goes on. You may have to travel some to see the band rather than wait for them to play in your own backyard.

Perhaps the lesson to be learned is that nothing lasts forever and we should all make the effort to see the band while we can. Opportunity does not knock forever.

I still wish that I had bought one of the 2010 tour t-shirts. Only two cities listed on the back!

Hey HTN! Any of those left?

Just ordered one on hittinthenote.com for my son (his first rock concert in Macon!) along with the new dTb Live Album.

With the $8 minimum shipping, it motivates you to save up your wish list and order a couple items at once.

I have been follwoing the bros news!! they havent been to cleveland, OH since 2006!!! thats the last time I saw them!! You would think they could make it here, in those 4 years!!! LOVE the Bros, see Gov't Mule everytime there in town!!! Maybe they shouldn't do all those shows like the becon run, or at the united palace, and visit more cities!! the fans are everywhere!!!

According to Gregg the Band will be back with a vengance next year(refering to the touring schedule). I heard Butch refer to a Northest amphitheater tour in August(2 weeks, 10 events) on a radio interview where he also said he was going to spend a couple of months at his home in France before returning for the Crossroads show. If there were truly no more dates after Crossroads, why doesnt someone from the ABB Camp, either Lana or Roland just come out and say so?? Or maybe this is just good fodder for the Forum pages!!

Correct, she said there will be no other 2010 dates. But I'm always up for a pleasant surprise!

right on ~ not really a secret if you pay attention, they have made it clear that this year would be a few select offerings (but we are now be blessed with more mule, derek & susan & gregg & friends.) hopefull for more extensive dates next year but also gotta accept we *may* have to be flexable & willing to travel....

Perhaps if what Matt Abts told me about the "2010 One for Woody" at the Garden we may see them perform there.

I keep seeing references to"Lana says there will be no more live show dates after Crossroads". I get all the news letters and visit the site every day, yet I dont remember reading anything about no more dates after Crossraods, or after crossraods thats it for the year. Something must be in the works or it would have been posted on the website that Crossraods would be the final show of the year. The powers that be are being quiet about this whole tour thing.

I had a good talk with Brian Farmer in New Orleans. He said Crossroads will be all for 2010. He said it was Derek's call. I asked about the One For Woody 10th Anniversary and he said its definitely being talked about.
