Hey everyone, I just put an article up on Associated Content and wanted to share it. Some of you might find it interesting, or even inflammatory but it's all in good fun. Just food for thought.

let me know what some albums you hate by your favorite artists are. I can honestly say I don't hate any ABB album, even Reach For the Sky and Brothers Of The Road - probably because I became a fan after those records were out for a few years.

I hope you like the article:

North Mississippi All Stars- Polaris

Love the band. Thought their first two, Shake Hands with Shorty and 51 Phantom were wonderful gritty old school electric blues rock.

Then they brought out this piece of attempted pop rock drek as number 3 . I don't think I've ever been able to get all the way through it .

Bob Dylan - Dylan (1973) (aka Columbia Records Revenge).

A collection of some pretty bad outakes from a pretty bad Dylan album Self Portrait, scapped together and inflicted on the world by Columbia as punishment for Bob briefly jumping ship for Asylum records.

I forgot about Polaris. I really don't like that one either! I can't even listen to Neil Young's Landing On Water. Trans doesn't bother me so much, but I heard a lot about it before I heard it so I knew what to expect. it's still pretty weird though.

Black Sabbath- Forbidden

I love Sabbath. Always have. I have all the awesome Ozzy and Dio classics...and a good chunk of the Tony Martin albums (which have some really great songs among the OK ones), but I would seriously think twice about keeping this one even if it were a gift.

Bad. Very bad.

Congrats on the article jfk2112! I've written a bit for that site as well. It doesn't pay much to speak of, but it's a creative outlet for me. I enjoyed your theme.

I've been disappointed with some records that I had thought I'd like better (Aquarium Rescue Unit, R. Randolph's Unclassified,Electric Blue Watermelon, Maggot Brain, The Worst of Jefferson Airplane, Phish's Hampton Comes Alive, Bitches Brew),but fortunately I've spared myself purchasing the clunkers, I guess.

The '80s were rough on a lot of bands The Stones were uneven after "Exile...", but they had plenty of good tracks on record throughout the '70s. But after Tatoo You, I never found much very interesting. But what they did from 1968-1972 will always keep them high on my list of favorites.

I love THEIR SATANIC MAJESTY'S REQUEST!! It's definitely underrated.

Any Yoko material tends to drag down a John Lennon effort, so I have to nominate these records:

I don't hate it, but Already Free is easily my least favorite dTb album. I can't think of anything else right now.

Congrats on your article. I enjoyed reading it.... And my Mom was like your Mom. She listened to everything from Chuck Berry to Alice Cooper.

R.E.M.-Around the Sun

The nadir of a creative slide that started with the lackluster Up and the sound of a band that was not really in the mood to make an album. Thankfully, they got a bit of their former greatness back with the next one Accelerate

Eric Clapton- Journeyman

With an overslick production that screams POP MUSIC, Phil Collins uses skill and craft to produce an album of songs that end up sounding almost as bland as his own worst radio friendly assaults of the 80's. Granted some of the songs are quite good, but the now dated production style really bogs them down. Phil should have been forced to write "EC is a bluesman, not a pop star " 100 times...with a sharpie...on his own head...

Boy, is Landing On Water a good choice ! I was almost on David Geffen's side after that one !

Yep! The only record that when you give it a listen you think "Boy..there is a lot of surface noise on this copy only to realize....it's the "music" you're hearing...

Bruce Springsteen. I might be one of the biggest Bruce fans ever but God I hate "Devils and Dust".

He put out a couple of great accoustic-based CDs, in Nebraska and the Ghost of Tom Joad so how D&D was released is hard to figure.
