I knoew going into this that tix's would be at a pretty high price and you would think demand with artists such as Carlos and Steve Winwood. I could not purchase tix's right when they went on sale, being that I was out of town. So when I got back last night I got on the computer just to see what was left in the pavillion and to my suprise there were decent seats left.

SEC A Row K seats 15-16 for two tix's 530.00!!!YIKES

Like I mentioned I knew going into this I was expecting in to be expensive but not this.

so I check another level

SEC C row CC seats 19-20 for two tix's 300.00 OUCH!!!!

Maybe I underestimated the costs of these. You would think artist such as these two would sell those seats out already, but I guess the combination of bad economy, high tix prices equal slow sales.

I guess i's the lawn for me!!!!!

That's VIP pricing (the 'new' concert ticketing merchandising that includes stuff like a t-shirt, drinks, whatever in your ticket purchase) or you're looking at a broker site. According to ticketmaster pricing on the Indiana show is 30.50, 65.00, 85.00, 130.50. I had to look this one up because I couldn't believe those amounts as part of standard pricing.

(btw - these guys are playing for free with Michael Franti at the show I'm attending )

In addition to Santana's pay fanclub, there is a free option also that seems to offer presale tix as well. Likely not as good as the Supernatural fanclub, but you all might want to sign up to see what comes up.

I want to see this. I'd probably be pretty ambivalent on Santana (seen him plenty), but Winwood will get me in the door!

At 10 am this morning I did the pre sale thru the Santana website for Mansfield Mass show. It was $141.50. It'll be somewhere in the front sections but exact seat location I won't know for 4 more weeks.

The first two I pulled out at Charlotte under the roof were 430 bucks for two tickets and fees. I just about choked at that one. Then tried a couple days later and tickets way off left of the stage were around 80 bucks a piece, around 200 bucks for the two with fees. I am gonna miss them.........Not gonna pay 200 bucks for two tickets off to the left. Maybe some lawn tickets will pop up.

This was off the TM site.

I would have been choking on that one, too, John. And passing. This kind of ticket pricing (that's becoming more and more common it seems) is ridiculous. And it's making it impossible for many avid music fans to attend shows.

For the show at DTE in metro Detroit tickets are $80 and $60 for pavilion and $22.50 for lawn. I'll be on the lawn. Not that the pavilion tickets are a lot, they're actually not bad, but I prefer the lawn there anyway.

I did the pre sale as well for Charlotte, cost me $191 total for 2 tickets, a little better than the Northeast, it looks like!I wish I knew where I'm sitting, though!

I will be in the lawn at Deer Creek too. Screw these guys and raping the fans on high ticket prices. Many times they sell ticket upgrades at the gate for cheap when the pavillion doesn't sell out. The pavillion is FAR from sold out in Indy and hopefully this is sending a clear signal to these artist that the fans aren't going to take it anymore. It will only end when the fans say enough is enough. I just bought 2 Furthur tickets for Columbus for $42 each? Thanks to Phil and Bobby for keeping it real.
