This place is packed!!! I made it here around 4 yesterday and made it to the show right before Panic's set. I went in the Shroom Stage area and there was a wave of people unlike any I have ever seen at SOS. It wouldn't surprise me if there's over 30k here.

The music is off the charts too. Panic, ABB, the Mule and Hot Tuna's set was awesome.

Did they play the slow version of "The Same Thing" or the regular version?

Nice set, I would have loved to see Blind Willie Mctell and All My Friends at the same show.

Interesting point, skyponydogboy. Not really any Dickey songs last night, you have to think tonight will have a few. I'd think Jessica and Revival are good bets for tonight.

The Same Thing was the slow version, and Don't Keep Me Wonderin' featured the extended intro jam that they played at the United Palace.

In fact, they busted out several of the new songs/arrangements from the Palace. Blind Willie McTell sounded good, and so did All My Friends and That's What Love Will Make You Do.

My personal highlight was probably Derek's solo on Black Hearted Woman. Amazing! Totally blew the roof off the place. Rockin' Horse and Every Hungry Woman had some great moments as well.

Still lots of good stuff available to play tonight, how about something like this?

Hot'Lanta
Revival
Ain't Wastin' Time No More
Comin' Home
Smokestack Lightning w/ JB
Highway 61 Revisited w/ Johnny Winter
Kind Of Bird
Come On In My Kitchen
Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City
Little Martha>Blue Sky>Little Martha
Who's Been Talking w/ Jimmy Herring
Dreams w/ Jimmy Herring
Jessica

Probably get a Liz on Saturday.

Good set Friday, I would have thought that the sit ins would have been greater and more varied given the depth of great players at the Festy.
Chuck tonight? Robert Randolph, Sharon Jones on Kitchen?
