The only band I've heard won't be in the Wanee Moogis broadcast is Widespread Panic. Are there other bands that have declined to participate?

Gotta share the wealth with the other bands that allow their sets to be broadcast. This is a for profit broadcast so share the revenue. Just my 2 cents worth.

It's my understanding Widespread will be broadcasted live via Moogis but Widespread won't let Moogis archive the show for viewing later.

Why don't you email Hardhead directly and confirm Gov't Mule's participation? I doubt anyone here has the answer you want, at this time.

Still not seeing either Gov't Mule or Derek and Susan's Band on the Moogis schedule. I will be absolutely furious if either of them aren't streamed. Hot Tuna isn't on the list either. Maybe I should have waited longer before ordering. I wish they would just tell us who's on and who's not before we commit!!!

The Peach Stage will be webcast live.
We will record the Mushroom stage and place those performances in the Moogis archives for later viewing. Some of these plans could change as we progress through these unknown waters but rest assured that Moogis will always do everything it can to make certain that you will have the best entertainment experience that we can possibly bring you.

Pete, you'll see them in the archives just not streamed Live. I know you have the complete subscription so that's the way it'll go down... I think there is just too much material to put it all live. Don't Worry, Be Happy!

So no band on the mushroom stage will be broadcast live. It should have been said before people spent their money. I am sure many people are interested in the new Derek/Susan band.

Moogis Schedule...........thanks Sue

Scroll on down the page and a color coded schedule is available letting you know who is playing and their times. Also who is live and who is archived.

John, if you see someone that looks like me acting like a drunken fool or possibly asleep at one of the midnight shows....it probably isn't me.

Wow! That really sucks!!! Not very happy Sue! That means no Mule and no Derek and Susan or Hot Tuna live. What is the freakin' deal???? I have seen many festivals with multiple stages stream both stages. Why can't Moogis do the same. Extremely disappointed!!! Mule and Derek and Susan were the main bands I wanted to see live besides the ABB. Much less excited about it now.

I just wish that they would have told us who was gonna be broadcast and when before they ask for the added fees so we can make a more educated decision about whether we want to subscribe. I bet most people would say that Gov't Mule and Derek and Susan's Band are the second most thing they ordered this for after the ABB. I will make the best of it but it's a huge bummer. Really thought we were gonna get to experience the vibe just like everyone going but I guess not. Oh well.

I am glad I will be there and not be in your shoes Pete. I would not be a happy camper either. Both last year and this year there were promises of "more to come". I guess they forgot to tell us there IS more to come if we are willing to pay extra and not complain about the five shows we expected to view that were canceled.

I don't think it's a question of greed, just poor planning and execution. Or maybe an unforeseen family matter.

We may get lucky like we did on Wednesday (rehearsals) before the UP shows. Maybe they will be doing some test runs on Wednesday and Thursday to get things right before the curtain falls. We all who could not make it down to Wanee this year are so lucky to get this in the comfort of our own home. Its all going to be archived, so we should be able to see most all the bands then.

LOL! I agree Alan. Poor planning. Very bummed but what are you gonna do. Hopefully in the future Moogis will provide full details of what will be streamed and when before they ask for any payments so people can gauge whether it is worth it to them. Seeing the bands archived is OK but not the same as experiencing it live with everyone.

I guess Moogis just isn't up to par with other sites that stream festivals. Maybe they can do their homework next time and be able to do it right and get all of the main acts streamed live. At the very least we should have gotten Gov't Mule and Derek's new band live as they don't overlap with anyone else and are at the end of the night.

You do bring up a good question Pete. Moogis is the only site I have ever dealt with streaming live shows. What other sites do this? How much do they charge? Do they archive their streamed shows for future viewing?

It is rather unfortunate they are not showing Mule and D$S midnight sets. Its going to be a cluster**** at the mushroom stage this year during the midnight sets. If the estimates are anywhere close to the 25-30K folks, attending, there is no way in hell all those folks are going to get in to the mushroom stage to see those sets either........maybe it will work out and they can show them. They did say there can be some changes in the schedule.............lets hope to our good!!

Half the crowd will be leaving half way thru the ABB show to get good seats at the Mushroom stage. It really shouldn't be that way, maybe they should of moved the midnight sets over to the Peach stage this year......though the Mushrooms stage is very cool place to have it.

I don't get it... is everyone mad that bands are performing live and they are not seeing them at that moment, even though they will still be able to see them in the archive?

Am I missing something? Are these bands not archived either?

Can't speak for everyone Paul but I am not happy that acts like Gov't Mule, Derek Trucks, and Hot Tuna won't be streamed live as they happen. That is what was advertised when this started. They originally said they would be streaming live from both stages and now have changed it to the Mushroom stage being taped and shown later. The main thing I wanted to see live other than the ABB is Mule and Derek's new band. Definite bummer.

Pete, I do understand what you are saying but there is some overlap here. ABB plays till midnight and Mule/Derek & Susan's sets start at Midnight. Whenever there is a midnight set, the musician last to hit the stage was Derek. This year it'll be Warren then Derek and Oteil. Maybe the time frame with one ending at midnight and one starting at midnight is the dilema. Maybe they don't want to cut anyone off or start late. Can you imagine the amount of people who would complain about that? I'm glad it's at least going to be archived because it's tough to see at times on the Mushroom stage.

iClips has streamed many of the Festivals. It's free for most of them. Some shows are a fee. Some of the shows perhaps most are available to view again.

I'm not happy either but it must have to do with issues related to the people running the cameras. Either union issues or they would have to hire another team to run the cameras for the late night gigs/other stage. You can't expect people to work overtime without compensation. Not that you do, but that was the issue I thought might be at play here.

The point about poor planning is a valid one.

Since they are shooting the Mushroom stage for archive, it's not a question of camera crews or schedule, more likely the equipment needed to transmit the broadcast- didn't Butch say they had to bring in a truck for satellite transmission?

No matter,it's a legitimate frustration... it's so much better the watch the show live.

You can't broadcast two shows simultaneously unless you use a split screen....

Gov't Mule, Derek and Susan's band, and Hot Tuna don't overlap time wise with anybody so they shouldn't have to be shown simultaneously. You certainly aren't gonna watch a music festival on a split screen. That would make as much sense as balls on a cow. Like Alan said, it has nothing to do with cameras if they are taping it for the archives. I don't know what it is but they should have figured out what they needed to stream both stages live before doing it. They also should have advertised it this way from the beginning instead of saying that both stages would be streamed live.
