From Butch on the Moogis pricing.

Hello Everyone - For those of you who have been waiting for news about the costs for the Moogis webcast of the Wanee Festival, we have some of the details for you. Not everything has been locked down at this point and you won't be able to actually buy your subscriptions just yet but we have arrived at a price structure for you to see.

Please check it over, find out which category you belong in and start to help us spread the word. We've only got a few days before the event. So, we'll need the entire Moogis family to help out. Even if you are going to attend Wanee, you want to buy a subscription. Then, at least, you'll be able to see where you've been. Unlike Vegas, what happens at Wanee could be shown on Moogis.

Stay tuned for more information on Wanee.

All Current Moogis Customers In Good Standing: $25 – Includes original Wanee Festival webcast

One Time Wanee Buyer: $75 – Includes original Wanee Festival webcast.

Full Moogis Subscription Purchase: $180 – Includes original Wanee Festival webcast
and 2 re-webcasts of Wanee Festival performances. Also includes viewing the archives of Wanee Festival performances on demand; All 2010 United Palace Archives on demand; and All 2009 Beacon Theatre Archives on demand.

Your Friend,

Butch Trucks

This seems fair to me. I hope other people think so too! I know I'll add it on to my subscription and watch when I get home from the Fest.

It sounds like the cable TV model: take away some premium channels, but don't reduce the cost (8 UP shows instead of 13). Then offer a similar premium channel at additional cost.

Even though I will be at Wanee, I think I'll pony up the $25 as a current subscriber so I can catch the acts I missed live at the festival.

sounds great butch i think i can scrape up the 25$ to sit at home and watch three days of great music and not worry about the crowd.Maine is a ways from FL so MOOGIS is a much better alternitive for my wife and I. funds have been low since I was laid off now for over a year but how can u pass up watching your favorite band in the world in your own living room. priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's an excellent value and I will gladly add the webcasr to my subscription. Been wanting to attend a Wanee since day one and now I can, via the magic of Moogis!

for current subscribers like myself, the $25- I'm assuming we would get the re-webcasts and the archives on demand included as well?

For a notherner like myself, getting to Wanee is a bit of an undertaking (although I hope they're back next year so I can make it happen). In the meantime, $25 is a no-brainer. Thanks Butch!

OK, a little confusing to me, does my $25 include the Wanee archives? If so I'm in. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

I am not really sure, but I would think you would be able to see the archived "Wanee Shows" That is my guess, but with other bands involved they may run in to some licensing agreements having them archived. I'm sure that question will be answered soon.

I went to the Moogis site and read what Butch said. The way I took it is the 25 bucks will be only for the original broadcast. See Butchs message at the top of this thread under the full subcription.

But when it describes the full subscription, it includes Wanee archives on demand... if you are going to Wanee, then the $25 subscription does not make much sense, so its an important distinction.

Yeah it needs to be clarified. I get the feeling someone just didn't state it correctly. My feeling is that since I paid $150 for the United Palace run and have access to all the archives, if I paid $25 for Wanee then I am at the "Full Subscription" level of membership, and should most definitely have the full access that the late comer who pays $180 has.

I understand that the person who pays $75 for the one time event would only get the live event. They need a way to separate those who have access to the archives and those who don't. Basically if you have access you have access to everything...Wanee, Beacon, United Palace...so on.

I think the full subscription is for folks that have never subscribed at all. If you have a membership now the 25 bucks sounds like a upgrade and we should get everything in the full subscription too. That is my take on it.

From Butch...

As of now we are working as fast as we can to get those details. We have just today gotten the funds needed to know that we have the equipment to get this done. We do know that for some reason Widespread Panic will not allow us to put their show up on demand. So far everyone else we have talked to has no problem going live and on demand. It will take a few more days before we can tell you who they will be. Until the agreements are signed we cannot make any public announcements. As in the past we are flying by the seat of our pants. I guess this is what happens when you go out on a limb like we have done. To date, I do believe that everyone has gotten more than their money's worth and that our decision to "go for it" when in doubt has been the correct one. We had one bad night at UP, but as I said earlier we did capture a very good show. The live web cast may have been a real pain but because we did it the show is there for you to see. As before we are asking for an element of taking a little risk with us. Of course I am not asking you to take anywhere near the risk I have and continue to take. It is the nature of the beast. Once we get this thing rolling we can look back and be proud of what we did. thank you all. Here we go.
