I went to see Melvin Seals and the JGB last night at Penns Peak (Jim Thorpe,PA)...what a good time!! Melvin Seals amazes me everytime I see him. The dude can just ooze soulful keyboards with what seems like relative ease. With the gospel like duo of his female companions and the perfection of Stu Allen it was as close to JGB as it can get, minus the man himself, of course. Torn between the Tangled Up in Blue or the Lay Down Sally as my highlights, but it was all good...if you get the chance, check these guys out. The shirts they were peddling said Melvin & JGB presents "church", and thats kind of what it felt like

Melvin Seals is an awesome musician!! I remember seeing them in Pa. at the "Gathering On The Mountain" festival in the Pocono's. That was such an awesome festival. Too bad they don't have it anymore.
