I'd be mighty happy with those set lists. I wish I went on both Saturday's.

If you count Martha?Sky?Martha as one there are basically just 1/3 of the songs repeated. Very similar tone in the order;pacing, however

Both shows were great. I don't get your beef at all.

There were more repeats this year, but the shows were so strong that I didn't mind the band's choice of rotation at all. And considering some of the repeats...you got Warren on Dreams 3/13, but then the amazing sax feature with both Warren and Derek having solo roles in the 3/20 Dreams. The 3/13 and 3/20 Liz Reeds were pretty different, I would have loved to experience both in person. Then I don't think too many people would be disappointed if they heard some version of Little Martha to Blue Sky each and every show they attended. You saw the uniqueness of the 3/20 Same Thing, an amazing School Girl on 3/13. A somewhat rare rendition of Heart of Stone 3/13, then the new cover Blind Willie McTell 3/20. Overall night-to-night I think there is enough diversity there to keep most people happy. You must have really seen some out of this world shows in the past to be disappointed with what you got on those Saturday night shows. I think most people would place both of those performances somewhere in the top 4 of the entire run. Consider yourself lucky, I do.

Don't look exactly the same to me and I'm quite sure all of the solos and jams weren't the same. I watched the first Saturday show on Moogis and attended the second one and thought they were both amazing shows. Two of the best from an incredible run IMO.

A little advice for your next ABB run. If you want two completely different shows, go two nights in a row or two in three nights. That is what I usually do when I do multiple shows.

Yeah you can't expect to see 2 shows, a week apart from each other and not get repeats. This is the ABB not PHiSH

The two Saturday shows were my only ones of the Run. Disappointment of the repeats in the setlist never entered my mind. I felt grateful for witnessing Little Martha/Blue Sky again. My only disappointment was that the Run was over.

Can't really see what you're disappointed about. So, there were a few repeats? "Little Martha/Blue Sky/Little Martha" has only been played 3 times total and you've seen it twice!

When I used to go to as many ABB shows as possible in the 90's, I'd pretty much see the same setlist back to back on nights. And for 2 years (97-99 era), EVERY show I got the last 45+ minutes was Liz Reed > JaBuMa > Oteil > Liz Reed and then a No One to Run With encore.

The variety in the setlists you saw would've been inconceivable to me at the time.

I didn't complain and I enjoyed the shows for what they were... a great band playing great music.

I watched both nights on MOOGIS and thought they were awesome.

Wow, how terrible to hear Whipping Post twice!!!! There are many folks who have attended many many shows and not had the luck to have heard it played live.

I think there was one year that I went to 3 shows and caught Les Brers as the last number each show. Whatever.

It's funny how the setlists work out...in 21 shows over the last 7 years, I have not heard Don't Keep Me Wonderin' any times. You are right that Whipping Post to close the first set at both Saturday shows was sweet.

Your screen name is parrothead, so can I assume you're a Buffet fan? If so, how does he mix up HIS setlist?

Just askin'.

"Why Don't We Get Drunk"

I really do appreciate the fact you're sittin' here
Your voice sounds so wonderful
But yer face don't look too clear
So bar maid bring a pitcher, another round o' brew
Honey, why don't we get drunk and screw

Chorus:
Why don't we get drunk and screw
I just bought a water bed, it's filled up for me and you
They say you are a snuff queen
Honey I don't think that's true
So, why don't we get drunk and screw

Spoken: "Pick it Coral Reefers, here we go..."

(swing instrumental)

Chorus:
Why don't we get drunk and screw
I just bought a waterbed it's filled up for me and you
They say you are a snuff queen
Honey I don't think that's true
So why don't we get drunk and screw
Yeah, now baby I say, (Lord!)
Why don't we get drunk and screw

Not sure how you can put "Disappointed" and "Allman Brothers Band" in the same sentence. Don't they call that an oxymoron?
