Being from NY, I'm hoping to attend March 14 @ BB Kings, March 20 @ the HTN party for sure,
and March 21st @ Bobbique's in Patchogue Long Island!

Anyone know who the Yonrico Scott band members will be for the NY shows?

I know Rico is a given...

I assume it's Todd Smallie and Kofi Burbridge except where otherwise noted.

I had my fingers crossed. But you know what they say about assuming so I thought I'd ask. It will be good to see them.

here is some stuff directly from his Newsletter:

From the Road
The biggest tales from the road is I'm in the studio. I'm on the phone, dictating this article while I'm at Sit 'N Spin Studio in Greenville, SC. And, I've got a 'Grammy Band' grouped together for the masterpiece we are producing. It's me, Kofi Burbridge, Todd Smallie, Mace Hibbard, and a few surprises to come...two of which I can share, I am greatly moved to record with Rev. Oliver Wells and my sister, Ronda Scott. These sessions will be the highlight of my new record.

also,

I've been playing in NY, getting my groove on in New York City. I've been playing with a great young, guitar player, named Geoff Hartwell. And he's an excellent slide guitar player and he's friends with Sonny Landreth. In his band, he has Andy Aledort who plays with Dickey Betts, me, and a couple different bass players.

And it's a good band, so hopefully we'll be able to do that again. And I'm building a band - a virtual band with Laura Reed. The Yonrico Scott Band is going on a northeast tour in New York and Rhode Island - New York City, a few spots outside of New York City, Providence... We're excited about playing. We've got a lot of new music, a new flavor, and everybody is excited about playing. Stay in touch! - Yonrico.

The Bobbieques date is unfortunately not happening Mar. 21. The band in NY will be Yonrico, Kofi, Todd, Mace and Nick Johnson - quite a lineup! At The Bayou - Mar. 18th the Geoff Hartwell Band will open the show. And for the Providence show, Funkatronic will open. See you in NYC!

From that clip, I would say the YSB should lose the chick singer.

I'm not sure if you're referring to Laura Reed or not (I can't see the links above) - but, for what it's worth, the YSB did several of their songs (from Turning the Corner - YSB) each set before Laura came out and added her vocal thing.

She was a bit 'over the top' (I've never seen a human dance quite like that) - BUT, in the second set I began to enjoy her voice a lot more (it may have been lower in the mix then) - AND the other thing, the backup singers were fantastic!.

It was full-on Soul, very peaceful and positive, and Todd and Yonrico are THE BOMB man, they do groove together .
