I recently received 2 B&P packages from a guy for one show that I offered, but he wasn't one of the ones to get in on and for another show that someone else offered and I got in on. I never offered this 2nd show. Now I'm sitting here and I'm thinking, how many times has he done that in the past. So I go back to a few B&P's that I did and he isn't listed, but he got copies from me because I remember sending them and he also mentioned one of the shows.

What to do? My first thought was I'll burn the shows for him. Then I think screw him, I'll keep the blanks, but now I'm thinking I'll just send them back blank. I enjoy offering shows, but this just hits me the wrong way.

What would you do?

To the guy who sent the blanks: if I have made a mistake and I have agreed to burn these for you, you need to remind me somehow. (Staple Gold Blanks)

If they are on your hard drive, I would go ahead and burn them. If not, then maybe I would send them back blank, with a note...

Can't remember who coined the phrase "free blanks"- but if the individual mailed 2 packages , for 2 different shows, and never"got in" on a B&P- I would concider them gifts.
(unless it was a real newbie, then I would burn them both, and then some- but let them know they need to get "in" before mailing).

Since you already have the blanks, I would go ahead and do it this time and then send a note with the show or pm him. Maybe he's new, maybe not. I know it took me a few weeks of watching and reading the threads before I figured out what was going on. There's only two scenarios, either he knows exactly what hes doing or he don't. It's funny though, there's no need to be sneaky like that around here when every one of us share our shows so freely. 99% of the time if you want something 'round here, all you got to do is ask.

....mike.

dude, piggy backing b&p's is wrong...that is why we each set a limit on the number we can take.

Staple Gold Blanks - i think i know the culprit. those disks suck. and you know what, i have to check my stuff but i think i might have had the same problem with this cat.

I completely agree. But the "limit" goes right over some people. Even all you can eat buffet's have rules that need to be followed.

There are smooches everywhere.

smooches = good
moochers = bad

I don't mind if one of our inner circle asks to be included as an extra person on a b&p - and i wouldnt mind it if they sent some disks unannounced either; but only if i know the person.

Oh absolutely, as I've asked for many favors as well.

But there's a few that don't "get it." Like a b&p vampire.

WOW!! I noticed all the threads always have a happy ending. Just send a toothpick back... with a note that says the discs must have turned to ashes.. and this is all that is left. RIP

Bob, you have mail. I also have gotten the staples discs from the same guy I keep telling they aren't audio. I won't swap them out anymore, cause I wouldn't send them to anyone for a B&P. Like sending KMart brand. I don't know if he "Vampired" me or not. Too many folks to remember screen name vs. real name.

He also usually asks for an additional show from my list.

Frank says one year is ok, as long as they are TAO. That's another option.

I'm curious on this, b/c Frank has never explained himself regarding this. But my curiousity is getting the best of me. Does he owe a person, or persons some shows?

The TAO part, I do remember.

Ask yurtle or Clay for Frank's references.

Good idea! I'd go ahead and send the show, but when you're ready. I don't believe for a minute these people don't know what they're doing! The info about BnPs has been posted here all too often for people not to know. I only started doing this a few months ago, but made sure I had it right before I started. No excuses!

sbowen, the whole rucus is about a liar named frank. He has put me off with evolving lies for a year now, never making good. I give away 15 cd's a month, and could really careless about frigin' blanks-- But if dude man wants to play, he's got to play straight, or I gonna talk junk, plain and SIMPLE.

He thinks I am a coward for addressing him in one of his many prolific threads, rather than privately. But, he never answered my 4 or 5 pm's so I went to all his little what if threads, and let it be known I am not gonna just go away.

I hate the negativity, but All I want is a fair deal. Not my fault he keeps fluking it up. I got nothing personal, and have no problems not even clicking on his stupida$$ sh!t.

But he wants to talk trash instead of drop package in the mail.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------

I posted this a while back-- Since then I have gotten a package from Frank(a fibermailer), it contained 15 blank cd's and I am supposed to fix them myself.He is nothing but a dickhead who thrives on the attention (for now). The best advice I have is STAY AWAY FROM FRANK

Hello, been gone a while, but I have the same thing happen a lot with a guy (may be a different person). Discs are alwas different but I asked Clay about the guy and it turns out he is a NYC fire fighter and doest get many opportunities to get in on the offers and clay told him on CLAYS offers to just send discs. I felt bad for getting aggrivated in the first place. I try to do his shows when I can but I have not done evry single one. I keep the packages separate thinking I'll get some spare time. He seems like a nice person.
