Folks here pointed me towards FLAC Frontend. Very easy to use.

Trader's Little Helper is a great choice...very easy to use and it has all the necessary features (ie. md5, ffp, etc.) For playing FLAC files, i use foobar2000. really great program that is also easy and i really like the tagging utilities. plus it is completely open source and customizable..oh and of course both are free

If you just want to play flac, foobar2000 is a small-footprint player that handles all kinds of formats. I think Nero is now able to burn from flac right out of the box.... n omore need for wav.

I use Traders Little Helper to convert, verify, and create MD5's.
To burn to a cd, I use Burrrn, Nero, (with the Flac plug-in) or Toast Titanium, (Mac OSX)
And VLC Media Player to play Flac without converting. (Mac or PC)
