Hi folks, Anna here, hope you're all doing well out there in ABB land.

I'm listening to some Elvis right now, but I sure use some recommendations. I know most of his big hits and a bit of his lesser known stuff. Without a doubt my favorite is Kentucky Rain. But if anybody has some Elvis gems they'd like to mention, I'd appreciate it.

Also, did Elvis do many duets? Or did he ever work with other greats of his time? Chet Atkins, maybe?

Evil, from the '68 TV special, I always dug from that show
Hard-Headed Woman -- straight-ahead rocker w/both horns & guitar
I like his schmaltzy ones too, like That's When Your Heartaches Begin, Are You Lonesome Tonight & those
one of the pioneers -- Elvis

I'm not an Elvis fan but I always enjoy "Kentucky Rain" "All Shook Up" is a pretty good song, too.

I was unfortunate enough to see Viva Elvis last Tuesday, the Cirque du Soleil show that just opened at Aria, the new hotel/business/retail complex in Vegas next to Bellagio. I've seen some wonderful Cirque shows but this was simply unwatchable. Except for 1 cool segment with trampolines and super heroes, the show was a snooze, I literally fell asleep several times. Between this show (and the reviews are awful) and Banana Sphiemlekslks or whatever it is, it's clear that the Cirque concept has jumped the shark and it's downfall imminent. As it should be after stealing our theater.

I just purchased Elvis 75 the new disc for what would had been his 75th birthday. I picked it over his Elvis #1's cd which had 6 more songs but did not include "That's All Right"! How can you make an Elvis greatest hits and leave off "That's All Right"?
