Have You Ever Loved A Woman - Derek & The Dominos version. If you can't get it on to this, you need serious help.

Yeah, that's another good one.

But getting back to I Only Have Eyes For You--I've found a dozen versions of it online tonight. There are so many people who have done this song!

I love 'em all, except for the version by the Platters.

I've heard of the Carpenters, never really listened to them all that much.

I'm a Yankee, and I'm with you all the way.

Also Van Morrison's Have I Told You Lately That I Love You. With props to Leon Russell's "Your Song." Both Van and Leon are very cool.

Staying with Clapton -- much as I love his take on "Have You Every Loved a Woman" ... I think "Old Love", which EC wrote w/ Robert Cray really does it for me. Here are three versions, all wonderful. I could not find an actual video of the 'unplugged' performance on YouTube, but included it anyway -- with that terrific Chuck Leavell solo.

24 Nights: RAH

I really like "The Very Thought of You" by Albert King. Leon Russell's "Hummingbird", especially the B.B. King version, is really a wonderful song, too. As far as EC goes, "Wonderful Tonight" is the one that my girlfriend and I both love. If only I could sing it to her without breaking up!

When I broke up with my girlfriend in high school, I think I listened to the RAH Old Love for about 3 months straight. It is AWESOME.

Other than that, though, my favorite song of all time -- The Band, "It Makes No Difference".

To me, John Lennon's song "Woman" tells a beautiful story of love, devotion, honor, respect, and appreciation. It's one of the very few songs that can bring a tear to my eye every time I hear it.

Don't know about 'the most' anything (my mind is always changing ... can never site one best when it comes to music, art). A lot of my choices have already been listed. Here's another one...
Percy Sledge - WHen a Man Loves a Woman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlrqELGi3CI&feature=related

And another ....
Joni Mitchell - A Case of You
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g2GIM4c4Fg&feature=related

(the lyrics on that last ... I could drink a case of you and still be on my feet ... great!)

and Layla
