Peachhead from Colorado here. I have seen ABB 12 years in a row at Red Rocks and this year am extremely excited to be making my first Beacon/Palace run. I was wondering if any other peachheads knew of any spots fellow fans will be hanging out pre-show? Would love to find some like-minded fans to party with while I'm in NYC!

Hi all,
I am form Italy and plan to be there for my first and exciting ABB experience!

It would be very nice to arrange for some fan meet and drink

Was thinking of stopping at Coogans (broadway and 169th) Someone mentioned it was a safe walk down broadway to show 175th. I thought it may not be as crowded as bars close by... Any ideas anyone?

if i'm running a little late just wait for me inside.

downtown is the way to go. the only reason i'd hang out in washington heights is if i was looking to pick up a puerto rican prostitute.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

nothing wrong with that at all, but if you're going that route you might as well pick up a soundview girl

I'm checking out the BB King/Buddy Guy show tomorrow night at UPT so hopefully I'll be able to scout and report back.

Cougans is good. Typical Irish pub, however, it's going to get crowded. There are a couple of places on 181st St., west of Ft. Washington Ave that I would check out. There is a nice Mexican Restaurant with a good bar and excellent food on the corner of 181st and Cabrini Blvd.

The area right around the UPT is seriously lacking in bars/pubs. Cougans is really the only standard Irish joint I know of. If you're coming from downtown, you can always do your drinking and pre-show stuff down there before you head up. If you're coming from Midtown on a week night, you can bank on a 15 minute ride, maybe 20 if you just miss the train.
