Sounds like fun Joe. I unfortunately don't have plans for NY this year but know I will live this event through all our friends here. I will see you at Wanee!

Sounds like a great time. May make the trip down.

As jomo297 wonders, do I. Can someone shed some light on why a shipping fee is being charged for these tickets? I want to buy, but don't want to pay another 20% to print a receipt. Thanks.

We are currently working on refunding people for their "shipping" charges, just a minor computer snafu. Sorry for the inconvenience!

See you there!

Will you revise the shipping so it's not charged for future orders? Also, I saw sales tax added to my order since I'm also in GA (but did not order yet). Will the program revision delete that?

Thanks, hope to bring 3 others w/ me.

last year i just printed my tickets and there were no extra charges and it was $20 a ticket. It was way overcrowded and too dark in there. And Derek and Susan didn't show up and even if they did they would have been overwhelmed by the crowd. Susan especially, who usually only stays 15-20 minutes at the Beacon parties because she doesn't like crowds, probably won't come or leave quickly if she does.

Forget any decent pics with Derek. Its so dark in there that all you'll get is glare from the flash.

Last year I brought a bunch of stuff for Derek to sign and was disappointed he did not show. Gone are the good old days of free parties and free food and drink.

And now they raise the price to $25 and that gives me pause. I would like to have Derek sign the pics I took with him in '07 but I don't know if I would get a chance or want to pay the money and schlep over to the West Side to that place again.

I hope they get the shipping deleted. I would like to get my tickets emailed to me or print them out from the HTN site.

I thought the party last year was great! Loved meeting some peachy people from this site for the 1st time (and seeing others again ) and Jaimoe's band was wonderful. The location was good spot for the party and convenient to theater being on Upper West Side (which I like that area and would probably be staying there again even though the show is in Washington Heights this year). It didn't have the same vibes as a banquet room at the Beacon, maybe, but that decision was beyond anybodies control (well - except hotel management ) but it had it's own kind of vibe. Wish I didn't have so many $$$ tied up getting things done around my home and was able to make the trek to NYC this year ... if I could it would definitely be over this weekend and I'd be HTN at this party. Thanks going out to the HTN crew for organizing this.

There never really was any 'free' food and drink... those things didn't grow on a food and drink tree in someones back yard ... they were graciously provided through the kindness of some very generous and big hearted people.
