Hockey over, flipped channels and found the Q&A on CNN.

The "governor" just suggested that Washington seek "divine guidance" in decision making, getting back to the way it used to be.

Excuse me?????

What ever happened to that nasty little separation of church and state????

As Frank Zappa said, "I don't trust a god guy in office, he works for another boss".

I was listening to some of the remarks people there were making about Palin. Things like "She's the only one who knows what is really going on." " She tells it like it really is."

It was also reported that most of the actual leaders of the movement didn't attend because they couldn't afford it.

That's messed up on so many levels!

Well spongebob, I did listen to the speech, as it were. Here's what I got from it- arrogant ignorance. But, I didn't expect much else from America's professional victim.
Hey did anyone notice that they didn't have an American flag on stage for their opening. Or that no one sang the national anthem. Or that they didn't have an opening prayer. I fully expect Fox to do an in-depth report on why these tea baggers hate America so much.

Please expound on this comment. I only caught the tail end of the speech and am curious to hear what you base this on.

I am not picking, I have to honest. I am not sure those are her words. I have heard her speak and have never really heard her say something of real substance. I feel the media has tried to build her up to something she is not. She comes across like an air head to me. She thinks McCain is an American hero. Hard to say when the man gave up information while a prisoner of war. Not saying I wouldn't. So the story goes he told the interrogators right off he was an Admirals son. She knows about as much as you and I. Not saying we are air heads. ha ha. On top of everything, she ups and quits office. No matter the reason, that was not a good move. I think putting her out there, will in the end, be a bad move.

As opposed to the rest of us, she's an air head with good speech writers. I expect her future is more likely as a TV host than a politician. She has the looks and personality for TV. I don't think you have to be a brainiac to be a politician, but you do have to have the confidence of more than a few disgruntled people.

Point is can she cough up anything at all other than the boiler plate cookie cutter right wing talking points of party leader Rush Limbaugh. Can she deviate at all?

I pretty much agree with 90% of this.

I don't think the mainstream media is trying to build her up at all.

Maybe the right leaning ones like Fox news, but certainly not the four that matter (ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN).

The scariest thing about her is the fact that so many people think her empty-headed cliches are a great idea and she'd be a wonderful president.

If you can't finish a whole term as the governor of our least populated state, how the hell are you qualified to run the whole country???

Supposedly the Alaska Rep. party threatened to not block ethics investigations if she didn't resign.

That would certainly make her sudden departure make sense.

Preaching abstinence with a pregnant teen age daughter.
Quitting your elected office in midterm for your own personal benefit.
Lying about the sitting president that he wants death panels to decide if you will live or die.
And most of all, being real mavericky.

Bravo!!!

You forgot about getting free building materials and labor from a govt. job you gave to your buddies.

Not picking on you but you're talking about a woman who has quit everything she's started, was being investigated....rightfully so, it seems...for corruption while in office, who lies through her teeth about pretty much everything and who preaches abstinence when she couldn't keep her own daughter from getting pregnant....and who managed to use her book to turn donations to her campaign into personal monies. I'm not saying a lot of other politicians haven't done the same thing, but if those are the American values she stands for, it's not my America.

No doubt. I think many American's would consider it a slap in the face to be accused of sharing her 'values'.

I had no idea you were so completely aware of the previsous administration and their activities. My apologies for thinking you were so partisan in your comments.
