I'm about at the end of my CDL training and needs some good vibes, prayers, postive thoughts ect as I'm get ready to take my road test to acquire my CDL A. More than a little nervous, as my future is riding on whether or not I can get my CDL A and become a tractor-trailer operator.

Good luck, my brother. That license kept my daddy in work throughout his life, and we all came out alright (relatively speaking, of course. ).

Things didn't work out the way I wanted. Was trained on a ten-speed transmission, but was tested on a nine-speed transmission, and of course, I didn't do as well as I thought I could have done. Matter of fact, I never got any training on a nine-speed whatsoever. So why the hell would I be required to road test driving a nine speed? What makes me angry, is none of the other students were tested on a nine-speed, they got to test on a ten-speed, and got up to four chances to pass the road test. I've complained repeatly to the school, Roadmaster (they also administer the road test) but no avail. When my case worker at the NC Employment Security Commision (ESC through it's Workforce Training program paid for the school) returns on Monday, I'm going to make a formal complaint to them. Hopefully the situation can be resolved so I can re-test my road test driving a ten-speed and obtain my CDL A.

These types of things aren';t new when it comes to some of these tractor-trailer schools, from what I've heard -- sounds like a mistake on their part that should be corrected -- not fun though, but making the effort that you did to learn the trade say a lot too -- best of luck w/this

Its a tough test. I have my A CDL license. Don't give up. I helped train alot of our drivers when they started this CDL stuff. A lot of them had to go back and redo the driving test. The written test is pretty tough too. Good luck. Pulling for you

Talking about getting a "one - two" punch in the gut. Checked my emails this morning and got a message from the woman up in Virginia who's taking care of my Siberian Husky, Thor while I'm here in North Carolina. Thor had a tumor on his ear that burst and turns out that it's cancerous, and that there is very limited treatment options. She also informed me, that Thor is somewhat listless and has pain in his bladder. With great sadness, I had to tell her that it would be best to go ahead and have him "put to sleep" as I do not want my "great dog" to suffer. At this point, I'm beyond heartbroken, but even in my grief, I do offer up a prayer of thanks to God for allowing me to have such a beautiful animal in my life.

Hate to hear that bro. We can become so attached to our pets. I know you must be devastated especially not being there with the Thor. Sorry for your loss......
I lost two of my pets a dog and cat a few years ago. Ironically they both lived for 18 years and live a fine life. Both were hit by cars about two months apart. Those were some pretty sad days......

Wow! Very sorry for your loss!!! I have been through it and it always sucks. You are right though to be thankful for the time you had together. He'll be waiting for you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
