I guess they figure anyone who wants tickets to an ABB show would also be interested in Hellcat Tattoos!

What would be great is if they would do a Boston Run, a SF/Oakland Run, an Atlanta Run, Chicago Run etc. 5 to 10 shows in one place for Hardcore fans and let the fans come to them, like the New York Run. Less wear and tear on the band, cheaper than moving stuff from place to place night after night.

Makes skipping the overpriced NYC run a lot easier to take.

The Orpheum in Boston closes during the summer. Maybe Bank of America Pavillion?

Very cool to read that, despite their plans to scale back on touring, they will be playing
here in Massachusetts this summer. Thanks, plqmule.

I wouldn't mind a few shows at the BOA pavillion this year. To me it's much more preferable to Great Woods. Shorter ride, area bars etc. It is much smaller though.

How could they ever skip a Boston Area show?

yea, I'd much rather go to Harborlights (BOA pav) than Great Woods. Better venue all around.
no lot scene, but that doesn't bother me anyway.

Was there a published story that they weren't touring this summer? I know I read something (can't remember where) that they were going to scale way back. I assume that means a summer east coast tour.

What ever they do, you have to figure stops in places like Boston, Jones Beach, NJ, Charlotte and others in between. It's pretty much a given that they deliver the goods when in Boston and these other "regular" stops.

I love the pavillion, but prefer Great Woods for the tailgating scene

I don't think anyone in the band or mgt ever said they weren't playing any shows this summer. They did say they were slowing down considerably (or words to that affect) and we'd never see another year with as many dates as 2009. We don't know there is a summer tour. We do know they plan on playing Boston next summer so it would makes sense that they'd be doing more than one city.
