Similar to who was in it 2 years ago.
It was an amazing show I will never forget it... but such a long day standing on the floor!

Me too, Kitty! Just forwarded this info to my sis. And going to include a trip to the northside and hit Julie's place for lunch or dinner if we do end up going.

I just emailed Billy - He's dying to go, too. Hope Kim is doing well and I hope we all get to go!

As mentioned: The Allman Brothers Band needs to play this one.
Also:
John McLaughlin (again)
Robben Ford
Larry Carlton
CHUCK BERRY!! (In my opinion, the Founding Father of rock 'n' roll guitar)

I didnt really like John Mclaughlin in it. Great player but his style is too out there for me. I think a better Jazz player would be Al Di meola... even better get return 2 forever to play it, now that would be insane.

Damn it. Warren is playing with Govt Mule at a festival in Spain that weekend. Another Crossroads fest that Warren can't make because he's playing a gig somewhere else.

Might be 1 or 2 from this list.

Like I reported before the Holidays, date and location was confirmed, now finer details like
who is coming is being worked out.

A couple of nice "surprises" is being planned. But once again, anything and everything can change when you are dealing with this many artists.

Is there a website for this? Really pumped about the announcement and possibly going. Kind of wish they would find somewhere better than Toyota Park. Haven't heard many positives from folks who went to see Phish out there last summer.

Buddy Guy will be there without a doubt, he was already talking about it at his final show at his South Loop club last week.

Perhaps not the first name that comes to mind, but I'd love to see Robin Trower honored by adding him to the show. If being a guitar hero is a prerequisite, he certainly qualifies.

I'd like to see some non-electric guitar heros represented. Say Adam Aijala of Yonder Mtn String Band. Or Wayne Henderson (he built a guitar for EC, so maybe that's not such a darkhorse pick as it seems).

Al DiMeola, perhaps?

Di Meola's PRS model might be the most beautiful guitar finish I've ever seen......I'm not really a PRS guy but man I want one of those bad.

Davy Freaking Knowles. That's who should be playing this time.

Good one. He's awesome. He's one I'd really like to see EC trading licks with.
