I didn't catch the entire show, but caught at least the last 20 minutes or so. What I saw moved me. He played guitar on Freebird (with Will Farrell as Ronnie Van Zant,) Bob Dylan in there, Billy Gibbons, it was just a very cool jam. Then Neil Young did his tune was just amazing. And finally Conan expressing his gratitude to NBC and to all of his fans, and telling the young people not to be jaded. It was a great way for him to leave the show, even if his leaving stinks like road kill. Conan seems like a real human being to me. I hope whatever he winds up doing he finds success beyond what he has already found in life. Here's to you, Conan.

I'm sorry. It's Beck, not Dylan. I was high and sleepy when I watched it last night.

Beck is the higher and sleepier form of Bob.

I just wish Will Ferrel would've toned down the fake southern accent, 3 notches.

The song was hilarious, I cheered when the cowbell came out.

I'm watching the show now. I DVRed it last night so I could FF through parts I didn't want to see and commercials. Just saw Neil Young doing, "Long may you run". Neil is
always great.

I'm watching the end of the show now. Nice speech from Conan.

I just watched Freebird. Didn't know Conan played guitar. First time I've seen
a parody of Ronnie too. The music sounded good. Don't care much for Will Farrel
playing Ronnie. Over the top. Is Beck the young looking guitar player, who looks
like Dylan did fifty years ago?

I never liked Leno and never watched him.
I don't understand the humor of Conan, but I wish him well.

You know, I feel sort of bad for not watching Conan now. I've always been a bigger fan of Dave's that I was Leno's, although I like Leno because he's a gear head. After Conan took over "Tonight," I stayed with Dave. If I knew there was going to be a good musical guest, I'd flip between the two shows to catch them. When Conan lands in a new show on a new network, I'll do what I can to support him. I just hope they put him on earlier so I don't have to decide between him and Letterman. Letterman is an Indianapolis homeboy and I'll always be loyal to him for that (I can remember him doing the weather on Channel 13 news as a kid.)

I've always been a Letterman fan because he is funny, a certified nut.
That's the only reason I would watch any late night show.
I'm not such a night owl anymore and don't catch David very often.

Just watched part of the show and the Neil segment. Neil almost looked a little misty-eyed. Conan was thanked by Neil after his performance for "all you did for new music." That there is high praise indeed.

Some folks on the "Skynyrd" site are up in arms about Ferrell's RVZ get up . I didn't think it was offensive , but I had to roll my eyes when he started with the cowbell bit .

so glad Neil brought his accoustic and harmonica for Long May You Run instead of another run thru of Rockin in the Free World. and the "thanks for supporting new music" comment was high praise indead. Conan musta been stoked.

I wonder why Neil didn't join in for Freebird? Loved that Will Ferrell / RVZ had on the Tonight's the Night Neil shirt. of course it was over the top!! what would you expect!!

Also has Ben Harper on lap steel. Conan takes a lil solo at the end of FB. Don't know who the "pregnant" chick was...but kinda cute

LONG LIVE CONAN OBRIEN and his band. Hope they all end up together again on a network where they are appreciated.

I laughed my arse off when he broke out the cowbell! What a brilliant way to end his stint on the tonight show. I got a fever baby!

I thought Will Ferell was funny, even though I'll wager he did his best to mock Johnny Van Zandt. The cowbell was a nice familiar touch.

Will Ferrell can't carry a tune in a bucket. I'm not sure he was trying to mock RVZ, but he didn't do him any justice vocally.
