Well, they didnt do much music. She sang I think one verse of "Natural Woman, and he did about one verse of "How sweet it is"

That was it. Maybe more after the commecial break is over...

Nope.

That was it. They got about a minute and a half and then the show ended.

If I were them I would feel severely ripped off.

They were both on the Today show yesterday morning. They each sang their own song and backed the other up .James sounded ok. His mic was to low. Carole sound AWESOME and the looks she was giving JT from the piano were nothing short of googly lovey dovey faces .

I've got my seats for MSG can't wait to see them.

Did anyone see the movie Funny People? I actually liked it. JT has a cameo in it.

Those 2 have written a literal treasure trove of great songs.

In the "Singer/songwriter" genre, they are right up there in the same group with Dylan, Neil Young, Paul Simon, and all the other greats, imo.

I pick and sing a couple of James Taylor songs....

"Hey Mister thats me up on the jukebox" and "Fire and Rain"

Catching them on Letterman got thinking....I really need to get around to picking up the "Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizen" CD

I used to have it on LP. Great album. Loved "Machine Gun Kelly"

LOVE both of these artists! But not to the tune of $350 per ticket. Yikes!!! Wouldn't pay that for anyone (but I am a cheapskate ) Last saw JT a couple of years ago for $35 or $40/ticket. I will add the show was most excellent - he always has a top notch band and singers. I've never been disappointed with one of his shows.

$39.50 ain't bad. Why focus on the extreme few tickets that will be sold for the high water mark? I didn't stand a chance in Hades of getting one of those anyway.

It seems that ticket prices vary greatly depending on venue. I had started another thread a few days ago.
I signed up for both of their fan clubs about a year not knowing about this tour.
So I received the ability to get fan club pre sale tix prior to any other tix being released.

MSG, floor seats, most shows are going to be "in the round" You didn't have a choice of location floor only .Nothing to complain about there : )
$150 ea. with just about $25 in misc fees.

I have no problem with $175 a ticket . Yes it's expensive , If it was anything else I would not have spent the money , but because I've never seen Carole live and she's one of the few on my bucket list of people to see before they stop playing.
