Out of curiosity did a search for one of those packages this morning 3/13 show. Regular tickets are "sold out" but the platinum package has row FF!?
give me a break... Sell those tickets to fans that can afford them, i can only imagine what other seats are being held back from wishful thinking that these tickets might be sold.

i totally agree with you, seats are 150, but for an extra 175 bucks you get a "reserved seat" and a frickin tshirt. reminds me of what steinbrenner did to yankee stadium, 2600 buck for a reserved seat, but wait! hold on...you get free food. to me this just represents greed...not at the band level but some marketing director for ticketmaster.....bands should sell their tickerts elsewhere.

It is possible a TM marketing director pitched the idea, but I'm sure the band had to give its assent to it. Nevertheless, if the band can sell its tix for $500 or $325, more power to them. They have built their brand over 40 years, and deserve whatever the market will bear. They won't be selling them to me for that though.

Could also have been the idea of the promoter Bowery Presents.

Band is definitely a party to the **pick your expletive** ticket pricing matrix. Hey, it's a free world...don't like it but it's their perogative.

Having said that, these $500 seats won't sell (Wall St. is the only market for $530 tix and Wall St. for sure is not going for that broadly)...they'll either go to band guests or come back on the market through ticketmaster (box office has same selection as TM, but no fees, box office convenient to nothing). A lot of them will hit the market in the 24-48 hours before the show, that's how it always works.

In a weird way this **PYE** ticket strategy helps us because the riff raff snap up most of the crap early on, the wishy washy just assume it's sold out and quit checking for tix and move on, and then those that are patient get rewarded ;-)
