On this one I go with Creedance.

Marvin is an all time fav of mine and a true music legend. He used to hold backyard neighborhood BBQs at his home here in Motown.

But that CCR version has more feeling to it as well as a blistering guitar solo.

I would have gone with Marvin, but CCR brings back memories of a certain summer day in 1972 with Donna Parker in the back seat of Dave Smith's Cadillac.

I bet you were grateful for CCR's long jam on that one!

Is Dave still pissed about the "mess" in the back seat!

Glady's Nights was the best....It just grooved and had a great swing to it...The quintessential version

Any song that Marvin did is the best version of that song.

I'm a big fan of CCR's original songs. I think John Fogerty is one of the best at writing catchy songs with great guitar hooks. But I've got to go with both Marvin Gaye's and Gladys Knight's versions. James Jamerson, the bassist on both of the Motown versions, is the main reason those cuts groove so much.

I love the dancing raisins. I didn't realize until a few years ago Buddy Miles is singing on the commercial.
