As far as sales goes, it would have to be Eminem or Kenny Chesney right?

They're both great......

But my choice is Lily Allen.

I'd agree but they put out their first album in 1998 so I'm going with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Wish they would let us know what their upcoming tour dates are. Need a DBT fix.

Ouchies. I am stumped on this one. While I did get into many artists in the 2000s that I had not known previously - Wilco, DTB, Decemberists, White Stripes - I think they are all bands that began in the 1990s. This will take some serious consideration.

I'd say as far as great bands go, it's Black Stone Cherry for me. Those guys are a kickbutt band!! Both of their albums are awesome & from what I hear, they put on a great live show. I haven't seen them live yet, but hopefully they'll come to Dallas soon. I missed them when they were at the House Of Blues with Collective Soul.

The Black Keys/Dan Auerbach

My Morning Jacket and White Stripes debuted in mid to late '99 if that counts.

Ryan Adams didn't release his first solo album until 2000, so does he qualify?
