Outstanding! Love the stuff going on underneath, especially Gregg and Otiel. Never been a better band.

I enjoy it very much. Great instrumental. I dont understand why it it gets slammed sometimes.

We all know its not a "Dickey" instrumental, so why do people slam it because it doesnt sound like one of Dickeys?

Dickey didnt write it, so (((of course))) it doesnt like one of his.

Its a "Warren/Otiel" instrumental and its very very good.

I also think Egypt and the newest one are both great as well.

I guess I'll rain on the parade a bit here but I'm not a big fan of this tune. When I think of Allman Brothers instrumentals this one rates on the bottom. It just doesn't have that classic melodic tone that you associate with an ABB instrumental. While it may be a technically fine piece of music it just doesn't take you anywhere.

I agree. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. Never has really "grabbed" me.

Hey it's all good. You're entitled to your opinion. But I do disagree. This song takes me to different places than most of the other ABB instrumentals, but it certainly still takes me there. And actually I do find myself humming the melody as much as any other instrumental.

I definitely would listen to "Instrumental Illness" before I'd listen to "From the Madness of the West", "Pegasus" or "Rave On". Not that I really have anything against either of those songs (other than the synthesizer solo on "West"). "Illness" is not at the top of my list of favorite original ABB instrumentals, but I think it fits in well...

As far as originals go, I think these are all the instrumentals written by members of the band that they have performed (from the top of my head):

Mountain Jam
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed
Hot 'Lanta
Little Martha
Les Brers in A Minor
Jessica
High Falls
Pegasus
From the Madness of the West
Duane's Tune
True Gravity
Kind of Bird
J.J.'s Alley
Rave On
Instrumental Illness
Egypt
Orfeo

September 2002 at Daytona Beach, when song was named Untitled, performance absolutely killed. I believe this version is from the 2003 Beacon DVD.
