From an LA Times article by T. Bone Burnett:

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/music/la-et-tbone-burnett21-2009d ec21,0,5259051.story

"Having just produced Costello's acclaimed latest album, "Secret, Profane & Sugarcane," and leading the band on Costello’s national tour, Burnett has a to-do list for the coming year that includes the release of new albums he's produced for Jakob Dylan, Willie Nelson, GREGG ALLMAN, Robert Randolph and John Mellencamp. In addition, he's overseeing an all-star recording of music written by Mellencamp and horror-meister Stephen King for "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County," a play with music that's gunning for Broadway."

THANKS BEE!!! Thanks for finding this Bee!!

This is good news! T. Bone definitely has the golden touch, and I think he would be perfect for a new Gregg album.

WOW. I will confess, I was taking the talk of Gregg's new album with a grain of salt. My bad.

I do not know much about T Bone, but I gather he is a very inspirational force. He did "O Brother Where Art Thou" and the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss thang, both of which I like. For the latter, I think HE presented them with a bunch of songs he wanted them to consider singing; he was the mover and shaker. Maybe he will be a mover and shaker for Gregg too.

He also did the BB King album from last year which was a bunch of old blues songs

I wonder if this may have had something to do with him not being in Macon earlier this month?
