Chuck sings on his solo albums (the non-instrumental ones that is) and sang lead vocals for Sea Level. He sang plenty of backing vocals with the ABB, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, etc. And you'll recognize his prominent backing vocals on the ABB albums he's on as well as the live shows. When the ABB did "Long Time Gone" live Dickey sang the first verse & Chuck sang the second. - So yes, he sings a quite a bit and is very good... I think he just usually takes the roll of a player moreso.

Chuck's vocal on S.Blues from Sea Level 2/7/77 Chicago is well above average IMO -- his cover of Rain w/BHLT is even better
