Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Bob Dylan. I'm not a huge fan, but I have some of his stuff, and even like the stuff I hear but do not have.

But, this Christmas album? Wow.

My girlfriend just LOVES this song, "Must Be Santa". It's a little goofy, but kind of catchy, and I thought it wasn't too bad.

So, yesterday we downloaded the whole album. Well.

It seriously might be the worst album I've ever listened to, of any genre. I don't even know it got released.

I guess it's in the ears of the beholder. I happen to love this album! Give a few tries - it might sneak up on you!

I actually expected it to be horrible.......so having said that, I found it nothing shy of hysterical. I laughed really hard probably 50 times during the time i spent listening to it.

If you are looking to buy a truly badass Christmas CD...pick up Brad Paisley's...its pretty pretty pretty good.

I finally got it, but only as a download to my Itunes.

This one is definitely only for the fans. Casual Christmas song listeners will probably not get it, or be turned off by it.

Heard "Here Comes Santa Claus" on the radio the other day. Kinda liked it.

As bad as Dylan's voice has become, I had an inclination that this might be REALLY, really bad. Haven't heard it, but I sure don't have any plans to, either. At least Bob is donating the proceeds to charity.

I think Drummer Boy sounds good, and the video is very arty.

This nostalgic approach of Dylan suits me well. A slow train coming this Christmas. Can't be wrong with that. Never.

I liked a couple songs.
some of it's OK.
some was painful. it just sounds like his throat must actually hurt sometimes when he was singing.

To see how bad the above posted version of Dylan's "Little Drummer Boy" really is, compare it with this:

Sorry Bob, you're a legend, but this XMAS record was ill-advised.

If you want to hear a truly awful Christmas CD, go pick up Skynyrds 'Christmas Time Again' disc released in 2000. Absolutley shocking.

I personally haven't heard it, but I have 2 friends who LOVE it actually. They said it was done more traditionally... nostalgic actually, I think is the word.

I am not a HUGE Dylan fan or anything that makes me accept anything he does, but the idea of him doing a christmas album at this point in time seems so typical of him... you never know what to expect... it's a bit artsy.

The reality is it doesn't matter WHAT Dylan does, it is going to be absolutely LOVED and HATED and it's not always the fans loving it and it's not always the loathers hating it.

He does "Must Be Santa"? I think I must check that out then... that's funny.

I like Dylan but have heard clips from this album and found it IMO to be brutal.

In my children's school the music teacher has started an "artist of the month"...he gives them clues to help them figure it out. This month it was Bob Dylan (which my son knew right away ). My son said he played some of his music throughout his career...then he played this really bad Christmas music, and he said it was Bob Dylan. " It didn't sound good Dad."
