who is your favorite musician from the other bands that the ABB members are in like govt mule,DTB,JAimoes jazz,Oteil, gregg allman + friends. It can't be an Allman brother band member. My choice is a tie between matt Abts and scott sharrard from GAF.matt is just a great drummer.scott sharrard is an up and coming guitar player that a lot of people don't know but he sure can play,I don't want to say he is being held back by playing with GAF,because what an honor it has got to be,but probably trying to get gregg to work on new material and different songs can be challenging I am assuming.I have heard some of his songs and the guy is excellent.

If "one tour" members count, mine would have to be Robben Ford (GAF). If we're talking "long term," then Kofi Burbridge.

Todd Smallie. Love his lay down a solid bass line approach, and that guy has the most infectious smile I've ever seen on anyone.

I love Mark Kimbrell- not only is he a very talented guitar player/musician, he's pretty darn funny too.

...and of course Woody

Jorgen Carllsson

I had Allen Woody, but he doesn't meet the criteria since he was an ABB member.

Have to agree wholeheartedly with Kofi. There are larger things in store....

Mark is an outstanding talent! He comes from a family of fine musicians - from right here in Birmingham-a-lama!

I alos like all the players associated with Sea Level - especially Randall Bramblett, Davis Causey and Jimmy Nalls!

Love when Warren introduces Matt...."Matt Abts on drums, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Matt Abts".

And then hard to say. I'm a big Mike Mattison fan. I love his work with Paul in Scrapomatic. Smallie's smile is infectious though.

Todd Smallie
Pedro - can play a mean assed guitar, lap steel and assorted other instruments, too.
Rico
Matt Abts

That year that GA had Robben didn't that include Willie Weeks and Steve Potts? I saw them at the Orange Peel in Asheville. Outstanding show.

Todd and Pedro are also two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I haven't talked to Matt or Rico as much.

Gregg Allman is my favorite, but I really like Jaimoe's Jazzy
band. We saw them in NYC during the Beacon Run. They
played at the afternoon party. I would love to see them again.

I really like Bruce Katz and Jay Collins too.

Love all of the musicians in both Mule and DTB but if I had to choose one it would be Matt Abts hands down.

We've had quite a few chances to see Scrapomatic living so close to NYC and they played at a local charity event out in Patchogue last year. Wish they'd come out here on LI more or do more gigs in the city...maybe they will with DTB on hiatus.
I just love Mike's vocal range.

I don't think Woody counts, but he would be, by far, my #1
Otherwise, all that have already been said:

1. Matt Abts
2. Kofi
3. Smallie
4. Rico

If the dTb doesn't eventually get back together with Todd and Yonrico in 2011, I'm going to be one sad dude.
