The Stooges, Genesis and ABBA lead the list of accomplished artists that will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. The class of 2010 also includes the Hollies and Jimmy Cliff.

And still no nod to Tom Dowd. Shameful and petty.

I predict much bitching and moaning about who "isn't" in yet by a bunch of people who haven't been to the RRHOF and probably never will.

What about RUSH. They've been shut out so many times, as this cartoon illustrates.....

Damn straight! I think it's shameful Joe Cocker is not in the RRHOF!!!

I have never been to the RRHOF. But what does that have to do with anything?
I've spent thousands of $$$$$ buying music and going to concerts!

I will go to the RRHOF some time when I'm in that area, but I won't make
a special trip! Then I can complain about how the musicians are presented.

It's not like you never complain about anything!

A FLOWER??????????????????

Would be great to see Collins, Gabriel, Banks, Hackett, Rutherford and Ant up on the stage. Collins has medical problems with drums and one wonders if Gabriel will show up, since he says its the past

As long as there are no rap artists I can deal with the current list of inductees
However I am sure next year they will nominate another Rap artist.

I don't really understand what the criteria is anymore for the RRHOF? ( no need to explain it) A lot of great bands not in, others who, well if you adjust the suck button are in...I don't get it. I honestly cant see how Abba is getting in? Obviously this is just about record sales. I think this is 2 years in to his eligibility, but not even mention of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble... Rush certainly deserves to be in. As i think Genesis and Deep Purple too.

The RRHOF is a joke ! Music is so interprative on an individual level that noone can be a true hall of famer. Sports hall of fames are different in that there are records and stats that set the hall of famers apart from everyone else. The only way to do this at the RRHOF is to go by album sales and tour revenue. Music is way to suited to individual tastes to even have a hall of fame. I've never liked the idea of the RRHOF. Just my opinion.

I can't say that it really means a whole lot to be inducted into the RRHOF? When bands like Rush are nowhere to be found you do have to scratch your head. I did go there years ago when they were putting on the John Lennon exhibit and it was pretty amazing! They have some really cool stuff and if you are ever in Cleveland then it is a must see. Really, what else is there to do in Cleveland?

They also put on some great shows there. They reunited the James Gang and I went with a friend to see Burton Cummings. He put on one incredible solo performance!

You bet i will Biatch.. any one who goes there or supports it is part of the problem not part of the solution... i say eff em and good riddens typical of the R&RHO shame abba is not rock and roll they are record sales... way too many great ROCK groups are on the outside still looking in i would not spend a dime on the joint.
