i felt like i was worse off as a person after seeing that finale. that show is incredible and completely true to the environment and characters they create. but i was truly upset after that.

I was shocked at the end......from the moment Dexter hears Rita's phone, I got goosebumps. Then when the baby started crying, oh god, I was actually scared, then really sad for her and Dexter. What a show, hope the next season is soon.

ps- missed the finale of californication, watching it right now.

I was hoping all season that Rita would be a Trinity victim. As soon as he went home to get his back i could tell something bad was about to happen. I forgot about the possibility of her dying since she was supposedly safe. Moral of the story is don't forget your ID on the way to the airport!

That's exactly how I felt. I didn't realize I had gotten so invested in Dexter being happy and when the ending came I decided I don't want to watch the show any more. I don't usually let fiction get to me, but the show last night really did.

I can't sit and watch it now...haven't been able to for a while.....I have to be doing something else and only kind of paying attention. Next season I probably won't watch it at all until Johnny's sees it the first time and tell me about it first.

The show makes me twist and turn in my chair. I often have to walk away... hence I DVR it. That said, I really didn't like Rita. I won't miss her. Lithgow was great. I wonder who the special, "marked for death", guest star will be next year.

us too, BA. my wife and i couldn't sleep for 2 hours afterwards. we swore off the show until this morning when we heard some theories. very interesting.

the show, with the kidnapping, the baby in blood, and the murder is just a little too much for parents of three kids under 5.

OMG, I was shocked at the ending. I didn't expect Rita to go.
It was very upsetting to see the end. But I will watch it next year.
I wonder if the last episode of the last season, Dexter will be killed.
We DVR it because some others in the house watch it. However,
I can't even discuss it yet.
