Kunio came to Gadsden for J. Sandlin's 60th birthday party. From Nagoya, Japan. Speaks very little English, as I understand. Brent joined him onstage for some jamming from the Layla album, Kunio looked over at him and said, "You be Eric, I be Duane." Incredible night.

I visited Duane's grave on the 40th anniversary of his passing. It was disturbing how unnoticed it went. I brought a couple of blooms from my yard, stayed a little while.
While I was there, an Oriental gentleman came up and left a bouquet he brought. I always wondered if it was Kunio.

Yes, he is a bluesman..... thanks nutter! I like his tone and delivery, just right.... gets a lot out of the single PU JR, can't beat old wood, specially blessed by D....

Looks like Duane's 59 LP Jr. is in good hands! Great cover by Kunio.
