The beacon box is amazing. The booklet that comes with it is very well done.. there was time put into that. You can tell that was proofread. I have yet to find an error in it. The photos are exceptional also. The sound is excellent. I've never heard marc so clearly in a recording.

Thanks for the kind words and you are correct that a lot of time was put into that Beacon CD booklet. We really wanted to give back to the fans that had patienly waited for their Beacon CDs. I especially want to mention Lindsey Rogers and John Lynskey and thank them for their many hours of effort!

BTW - we do have a few of these 60 page CD booklets available for purchase as we printed up a few extra. Here's the link to check it out:

Great! Just ordered one. It will be nice to have along with the downloads
of the shows. I'll be doing 3-4 a month till I get them all.

Just rec'd the booklet.
A very welcome addition to the shows I picked up.
The essay at the beginning is just tremendous. The man was speaking the truth for sure....

You may want to post that up on the HTN website, I'm sure it'd get more than a couple fence sitters to look into purchasing the box.
Nice job to all involved.

Thank you so much; writing the liner notes was quite an honor, and I'm flattered by your compliments - the idea was to capture the historical aspect of the run, and it's nice to know that the notes came across that way
- as you point out, the booklet was a true team effort, so all credit to Lindsey, Kirk, Rob, Joe and Paul - it's great to work with them! - HTN appreciates the help we received from the band and managment on this wonderful project
thanks again,
JL

Has anyone put the entire box set on thier iPod? If so, how long did it take and how many gigs?

We are loving our Beacon 2009 Box Set..........
the remix is so far superior to the initial live webcast moogis mix that it just must be heard.....
the entire production is very professionally done, crisp, clean packaging, in a nifty wooden box with glorious Allman Brothers printed on it, thanks to all and a tip of the hat to Lindsey & John

Highly recommended.....and wonderful treasure to add to our memories....

OK so I've been working my way through the box set since I received it a week or so ago - it is just stunning all the way around. The packaging is clearly the result of love and care, as is the mastering. The playing - well, there isn't much left to say. There are so many highlights from this set it's just not worth listing them individually. Thank to the HTN folks for putting this together - it was worth the wait!!

I received the Beacon Box yesterday. I had no idea I was getting it as it was a Christmas gift from the Missus.

Wow!

I was fortunate enough to go to NYC and catch two shows at The Beacon Theater(first time) so this is special for me. Man I really dig my wife!

The sound is spectacular ... I mean thats why we buy this right, the music. Unbelievable.

I have a good system and I'm listening to MJ right now from the first night ... LOUD! This is legit folks. I can hear every cymbal like they're smackin' me in the head with them. Wait, there's Butch in my listening room pounding that big-a$$ drum of his ...

The extras are the icing on the proverbial cake. Physical Box is cool, the booklet is really cool, great photos and comprehensive outline of sets and guests. Who doesn't love stickers?

But the actual music? Forgetaboutit!

How OG is that shot of Greg, leaning in the Fillmore shirt, near the end of the booklet?

Southern Badass ...
