I'm going to go with actual Old School Mule. My two favorites are Dose and Life Before Insanity respectively.

Saw them last Friday for free at World Cafe Live in Philly. The live versions of the tunes from By a Thread were awsome.

Ditto what Doug said!!! As much as I love everything Mule I think those two will be tough to ever top.

Certainly not trying to jump on any bandwagons, but Dose and Life Before Insanity are in a completely different category than the other Mule records. I can still remember buying each of those records when they came out and listening to them for the first time. Just some unbelievable albums.

I really enjoy Deep End Vol #1. IMO it has the widest variety of different genres of music.
The special guests that appear on the album are fabulous.

Pretty much in this order...Dose, Life Before Insanity, Deep End I, and By a Thread....and if they ever release One for Woody.

The Deepest End DVD is my favorite. When it comes to the CD releases, that's a toughfy. They all are so good.
