I just heard her and heard of her for the first time saturday night. She did a show of the Texas Guitar Women with Cindy Cashdollar, Sue Foley and sarah Brown.

I can only name three artists that affected me the same way the first time I heard them, the ABB, Steve Earle and Stevie Ray Vaughan. After the first song Saturday the PA went out while they were trying to figure out what to do she started belting out a song accapella and her voice filled a 900 seat auditorium. One of the top 5 concert moments of my life. I couldn't stop watching her the rest of the night.

If anybody has any shows by her send me a PM

Yep, Bill, I had other plans so I missed that show. What turned me onto her was her appearance on Austin City Limits a year or so ago. She's got the mojo.

Was Cindy Cashdollar there and did she play some squareneck??

Wish she would come to Philly. Also Sue Foley would venture out of Canada.

I have been checking out Joanne Shaw Taylor. Pretty good. Power trio.

You missed a great show. Two sets, a question and answer session, the show started on time and didn't end until about 11:30.

She played some squareneck but mostly lap steel. I sat on the second row right in front of Cindy Cashdollar.

I don't know how Carolyn has gone under my radar for so long

She reminds me of Janis Joplin and Sissy Spacek, looks and personality wise.

She had just come from doing a Janis Joplin tribute show at the RRHOF

Saw her open for Asleep at the Wheel at Antone's a couple of years ago and she blew me and HoraceGammet away.
