We had a great thread in the Guest Book about 10 years ago that went on for weeks naming the great live albums. 70s created many (and many that had some studio tweaking later):

some not mentioned yet:

UFO - Strangers In the Night
Skynyrd - One More For the Road
Judas Priest - Unleashed in the East
Springsteen - Hammersmith Odeon London '75 (not released until 2006)

The usuals, in no particular order

ABB - Fillmore East
Derek & The Dominos - In Concert
Ten Years After - Recorded Live
Mountain - Twin Peaks
Humble Pie - Rockin' The Fillmore
Little Feat - Waiting For Columbus (although I had a couple of bootleg albums from the two prior tours that I thought were actually better)
CSNY - Four Way Street
Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Welcome Back My Friends...
Yes - Yessongs
Genesis - Live
Dave Mason Band - Certified Live
Rory Gallagher - Irish Tour '74
Deep Purple - Made In Japan

Johnny Winter And - Live

Live albums that were, to me, "good", not "great" until they were expanded & reissued much later:

The Who - Live At Leeds
Eric Clapton - Rainbow Concert
Fleetwood Mac - Cerulean (recorded 1970, released 1985. Recordings eventually remixed, cleaned up and released on CD as the "Live At The Boston Tea Party" trilogy in late 90s)

there's a slap at the dead's Euro 72 from someone who pops Cheap Trick @ Budokan on the list?? you really think there's no over dubs on the Cheap Trick record?? iI think they've admitted as such, esp since most of the folks there had never heard Cheap Trick before. Esp the opening to Want you to Want Me and all the screaming. too funny. i dig both albums btw, just pointing out a funny post.

take it light!!!
