I had a ton of Beatle memorabelia I collected when I was young and got rid of it before I knew better. Miss my record collection, just didn't have the room for them anymore. Also had a heckuva beer bottle collection. One collection that has survived is my collection of antique thermostats.

Yeah, one of my biggest regrets is a box with about 15-20 VHS tapes....ALL relating to the Allman Brothers I collected during the days of trading through the "Snail Mail"..TV appearances & concert footage from 79, 80, 81, 89 & 90... Not sure if I, "got rid of it" or just lost it in my last move, either way, very disappointed.

I've had to do a book purge from time to time. I wish I had my old comic book collection also!

I had boxes full of rock and sports magazines, comics and programs from sports and concert events growing up. When my parents moved, Mom had to get rid of stuff and I was too young and dumb to care.

Luckily she saved my sports card collection. When she gave them to me 25 years later, it was unbelievable.

Use to have an orange crate of Albums still with wrappers in my Grandmothers cellar. Yes she had a celler in Fla.......First concrete block home built in Tampa.

When i bought a record i would always buy two because they always got scratched. Had Beatles, Hourglass, ABB, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, all kinds about 50-60 albums. Went to retrive them one day and they were gone! Asked all my cousins and noone knew anything...............

Over 100 Spiderman comics and over 100 Fantastic Four comics, all mint...I sold them all right before they soared in value.

My 60's era GI Joes and accessories. Gave them to my younger brother who promptly trashed them ...

My Creem, Rolling Stone, and Circus rock magazine collections. Gave them to a friend as a gift and he promptly sold them all.

I still have a good portion of ticket stubs, but quite a few which must have been in a seperate box went missing during one of my moves before I got married and stopped moving...

I wish I had kept all my stubs or a show journal.

I used my brothers old Mickey Mantle ball card on my bike spokes to sup up the sound. Sounded great too.............

Color Beatles cards (as opposed to the B&W ones) I didn't get rid of them, just don't know where they went! Sure wish I had them now.

I had a ton of baseball cards collected in my youth. My Mom showed them to someone that apparently knows a thing or two, they indicated they wanted them and gave her two sets of a complete year of cards...two different years ... for them.

I then promptly lost those in a divorce.

I had a collection of thousands of baseball cards that my mom threw away. Don't know what they would be worth but it would have been nice just to check them out for myself.

I just got rid of a beer can collection and I wish I did it 20 years ago , I hadn't added to it in years and it felt good getting rid of it , some collections can bring income ( Beatles collection ) and some are just junk . I almost got rid of my album collection of about 2000 , it was in the mid 90's and I never listened to them most of the great ones I replaced with cd , in hindsight thank goodness I hung onto them , LP's rock .

Amen to that Jim...not me but my buddy growing up whose parents owned the farm behind our house. He had all first editions from the 50's, early 60's. His Mom dumped them when h went to college.
