I know he is a BIG part of Duane's legacy, but Boz Scaggs sucked the energy out of the room.

Southside Johnny

Typical of most club level harp players, he doesn't know when to not play...steps on others cuts off Susan's solo then openly tries to blame someone else at the end of the song...they hustled him off the stage quick after that.....hopefully never to be seen again

Bruce Hornsby
Bruce Willis
Southside Johnny

Honestly, I don't mind someone like Johnny Winter but let's leave off Highway 61 Revisited.

Bela Fleck!!

He did a guest banjo spot during IN MEMORY OF ELIZABETH REED back during '03 or '04. He's a great musician but his banjo pickin' just didn't work with that monster jam tune.

Johnny Winter. I know he has history with the band but it was pretty bad. Kid Rock in my opinion was actually good. He kept it simple, didn't go over the top with anything and it worked. I think people just want him to be bad because he's "famous" and raps. It's too bad.

Kid Rock- "Make some RACKET!!".... Are you f-ing SERIOUS?????
John Hammond- I know he's part of the Duane legacy, but I was at that show and he was not an interesting addition
JOHN BELL- I've said it before and will again, dude is not a good singer and should stay FAR away from any Steve Winwood vocal.

I would have to go with Kid Rock and Johnny Winter although I think Johnny in his prime would have been an excellent guest. Kid Rock never had a prime on that level and didn't belong on the stage with them IMO. It was comical when he tried to implore an ABB crowd to "make some racket" not realizing that an ABB crowd makes lots of racket, but it is spontaneous racket not contrived racket.

Well, never been to the Beacon so i would even be happy if Marilyn Manson would be guesting and being mounted by a pink elephant. Okay, i take that back.

Well, i guess i could do without Kid Rock, John Bell and Bob Weir. From what i heard i liked Trey more than expected. Bruce Willis ain't much of a harp player compared to the pros but still would be fun to see him for a brief sit in. Too bad Southside Johnny cut Susan's solo short but things like that can happen. Personally i don't think it was a ego thing. Wouldn't have mind to see him on stage but i think his horn section are a better fit than himself. Wouldn't have mind seeing Bruce Hornsby and Boz Scags as well. "Loan Me A Dime" was awesome. Not sure if it qualifies as a guilty pleasure but i personally really like Sheryl Crow although she doesn't get much appraisal on this forum. She is still on my list of artists i want to catch live.

So my only "odd choice" is Bob Weir i guess. But i just do not care much about his guitar playing and his vocals.
