Love Susan T, and having missed Levon Helm with the Brothers on the first [?] night of this year's Beacon run, I have to go with RANDY BRECKER - what an absolute blast that night was. Dreams was off the scale........

Seeing Clapton was historic...no brainer I guess, after that, I enjoyed Little Milton at the Beacon (2005 I think) particularly Feel So Bad.

Chuck Leavell adds a great sound and Herring fit perfectly this Summer when he sat in.

I think horns really spice up certain tunes - Same Thing and Instrumental Illness especially.

Really useless to add another drummer.

All that said, I prefer the band without ANY guests, and I know it's a hot button, but if I never hear Susan sing DTTIAR once more it would be fine.

I always enjoy it when Leslie West shows up. Whenever Leslie guests with the band, he always seems to pick up his game several notches. Just like he did with Warren back in '05 in LI.

Eric & Taj....

I've never seen them with chuck but I always thought...what a great band it would have been if he was also one of the founding members

Susan is almost a band member at this point

ehh for me, it wouldn't be another guitar player. It would be either Chuck Leavell or a saxaphone player, not Ron Holloway; probably Karl Denson. I love the flute part he played on Desdemona in 2003 in Charlotte.

I'm not a real big fan of any guests sitting in, I just like to hear the band. That being said, Clapton was absolutely fantastic, and I don't really think I'd complain if he ever sat in again.

Kid Rock...NOT!

From this years Beacon run I really liked Taj, Bruce Hornsby, Randy Brecker, The Kingpins, and of course Susan and Ron Holloway. I didn't care for Southside Johnny, Johnny Winter, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, or Weir/Lesh.

-Karl Denson is the Man! If I could pick 1 person, Karl would be it!

-I donít like Phish but whenever Trey gets up the band raises it up a few notches!
Check out 3/13/2009 and tell me he didnít turn up the heat!

-Bruce Katz, he did a excellent job on the last part of October 2009 tour.

I loved John Hammond when he sat in at the beacon this year. He's a class act and a great blues historian and acoustic blues musician
