I recall there was a discussion about some vault releases of both the ABB and Gregg. Any word?

Thanks. I know these things take a long time so we will be patient.

I remember reading a Relix interview with Kirk West from 1996 where he said that several archive releases were ready to go, including a Fillmore West box set. I remain hopeful but if history is any indication, skepticism is warranted.

I like seeing that Warren has a hand in this. In Warren We Trust.

I sincerely hope that the Powers That Be make a move on this, SOON.

Let's face it, the ABB fan base will probably not expand. Why wait for it to dwindle?

The number if people who are willing to pay money for music is dwindling. Why wait for it to dwindle?

The musicians who would benefit from the profits of ABB archival releases are not getting any younger.....

You get the picture.

I don't know that the ABB needs to pursue lots of lavish boxed sets or deeeeeluxe packages. The Instant Live model might be the way to go.

But sitting on this good music is NOT the way to go.

People have been making this point for decades and despite the fact that the ABB went from nationwide pavilion tours to a Beacon run and a double bill run though New England and a few other spots, it was still apparently a giant struggle to release the material they did.

I have nothing but gratitude for those who fought and worked so hard to make the releases that were made available happen.
I have heard Gregg and other band members did not want to release things and that there are all sorts of publishing contracts that make these things difficult. Thank you for persevering!

At this point, I can't imagine why all interested parties would not make any and all material available. Whatever hang ups or contracts are out there should be resolved as quick as possible because all this great music is not only going to be forgotten if it is not released, it also isn't going to make anyone any money by sitting on it even longer.

I would really like to hear the Thom Dowd Evening With recording of the Kind Of Bird from Macon 12/29/91
