I attended a show at the Beacon last week and it felt as though I was in a different theater/universe entirely. First of all, the crowd was extremely well-behaved. They sat, they didn't smoke anything, they didn't even drink anything and the bars closed just after 9 PM, they clapped politely. Frankly, it was an unnerving experience and made me miserable that we have to wait 11 more months for the Beacon to be back to normal.

I remember attending a show like the one you just described and had a whopper panic attack, lol. I've been through it all at rock shows but having to sit with my hands in my lap and not able to pick up something that I dropped, was too much for me. Can't see how that is fun for people

It's like the Seinfeld episode where Elaine starts hanging out with a bunch of guys who are a nice version of Jerry, George and Kramer.

I had a fantasy in 2009 that Dickey would show for one reunion show at the Garden, and the Allman Fans would somehow end up mingling with the moms and kiddies seeing Christmas Carol at the theater. Teach those litt f**ks a lesson or two
