Watching a replay of the NC game. 42-14 and it wasn't that close.

Watched ESPN's College Football Blitz show this morning. Good stuff! Yesterday I looked at my tailgating recipe magazine. I'm getting fired up.

GO BRUINS!

P.S. Contrats to Johnathon Ogden on his NFL HOF induction. What a football career!

Watched the video and had forgotten how crazy that game at Maryland was 2 years ago.

I don't know how anybody could confidently pick the winner in that UGA-Clemson game. Super offenses vs defenses with questions. Clem -1.5 right now, which says that Georgia is better team since homefield is worth more than 1.5 pts. Game would be lined atleast UGA - 4.5 or closer to 6 in Athens.

Clemson and Georgia both have 9.5 win totals this year.

I like to see what Venables can do in year #2. We saw just how bad Oklahoma was on D last year and I tend to think some of that was due to the Venables-Mike Stoops swap at DC. I also want to see what Grantham can do with the least amount of proven defensive players he has had to work with in his tenure as Georgia DC. Offense makes the headlines in this game, but whoever puts it together on D will likely win this game.

Eddie Vanderdoes DT UCLA

The Bruins already sweet Class of 2013 crop got even more sugary when they got a massive score with five-star defensive line prospect, Vanderdoes backing out of his pledge to Notre Dame and heading to Westwood instead. Vanderdoes is one of the best defensive tackle prospects to come from the West Coast in a long time and recently found out that he will be eligible in 2013. Good news for the Bruins as he could start from day one.

Stratdal, I'll be interested to learn what you hear about him from UCLA practice reports.

Actually the latest line I see now is UGA -1. Georgia 7-1 in true road games last 2 years (not neutral sites), their only loss was the last time they visited the state of South Carolina. So anyway that would make UGA atleast a 7 pt fav in Athens based on current line.

The Bruin faithful are very excited about EV. If you haven't heard, he was granted a full release from the ND NLI and is immediately eligible. Baring any camp injuries, he'll play as a true frosh.

As for the first day games, another one to watch ought to be WSU vs Auburn. Mike Leach has now had a full year to implement his system at WSU. Mazahlan (sp?) is back at Auburn where he is already familiar with many of the players. I think Auburn will return to it's winning ways and WSU will finish above .500 with a big win or two under it's belt. T'is the season!

Butch or Bust for the UT fan.

I had a chance to go to Autzen to see UT get creamed by the Ducks, but the airfare just wasn't in the budget. I would have really liked to have seen a game in that stadium.

Really don't know how good UT will be. Jones has done an outstanding job recruiting, but some of those players won't have any impact until 2014.

The other non-conference games are Austin Peay, WKU, and South Alabama. Sure pisses you off when you buy season tickets to see that kind of scheduling.

It would be nice to beat UGA and Auburn. UGA isn't a likely win even though the game is in Neyland. UK should be a win, Vandy isn't a gimme anymore. S. Carolina, Florida, and Bama could be massacres. If they could go to Mizzou and whip those mouthy bastards, I would be really happy.

All in all, there should be a better team wearing Orange than what that dumbass Dooley put on the field last year.

Looking forward to Pickem. If no one is in the mood to go for a couple of bucks on this how about we at least come up with a trophy?

Winner takes trophy for off season to local watering holes, hockey games, shopping and enjoys the glory of being the number one picker from HTW.

DUCKS!!!

We can decide if we want prize money before the season starts. I'd like as many people here to sign up as possible, sometimes if they think they have to pay to play it scares people away. Assuming not everyone wants to do prize money then we could just collect it among the people that do and the highest ranked person out of the group get's the prize. But we'll work that out in a week or so.
