Commentary:

Osama’s first wife, left Tora Bora two days before 9/11 due to a difficult pregnancy. It gets very hot and humid in Pakistan in the summer. She wanted to have her child in a regular hospital, and also to visit her Mom who lived in Syria. She reportedly told him she would return in three months time when the child was able to travel with her. Her son, Omar, and one of her daughters, Ruqya, left with her for Syria, Osama kept the other one, Iman there at Tora Bora, some say that way he was sure she would return because no Mother would want to be without her daughter.

When the seize occurred, the camp split into two groups, some of them wanted to get away from the war, others wanted to remain with Osama no matter what. Khairya, was in the group that went to Iran. Also in that group was Iman, his first wife, Najwa’s daughter, who was in a war zone without her Mother, who was unable to return due to having an infant daughter and the war being on. In December 2010, the patriarch of the BL family was able to persuade the Iranian govt. to release those sequestered, and Iman was able to return her Mother and family in Syria. It is reportedly at this time Khairya began to plan to be reunited with Osama and the rest of the clan in Pakistan. His other two wives, Siham and Amal had stayed with him thru and after the battle of Tora Bora along with their children, Khalid and Safiya.

Khalid, Siham’s son, was killed in the raid in Abbottabad. The claim that Al Qaida demoted Osama is ridiculous, it was he who made the news announcement that he no longer wanted to be the media spokesman, he was giving Ayman that responsibility and he was working more on training and recruitment of the men, which is why I don’t think he was even in the house when the raid occurred. I think he secured a safe place for his family and he remained with the men for the most part, much as he did during the war when the family stayed at Mullah Omar’s compound in Kandahar and he would travel daily to the front to fight and see what was going on. In one of the interviews Amal did,she said he would not get home till 11 pm each day. He was a General of the Mujahideen during this war.

The way the men fought was, they would take their 12 hour shifts and fight, then go to someone's house to sleep and eat a meal, others would come out and fight during this time. Nobody just stayed on the battlefield continuously. The Afghan people all opened their homes to fighters, they could knock on anybody's door and they would be given a bed, blankets and a safe place to sleep. Much like how it was during our Revolutionary War.

Osama wanted Al Qaida to be decentralized, which is why he decided to take on the role of recruitment and mentoring and let Ayman be the spokesman. He was never demoted at all, he just changed the organization operationally so that is wasn’t about him, but about the reasons why al Qaida was formed in the first place.

Ayman’s personal ambition is only to unite the Muslims under one banner, he has not sought glory for himself. He has not become a media star the way Osama was. Osama was disgusted with the way the media was making him an icon, even to the extent people were saying, look it’s a month since your last video, where’s the next one, almost like he had a Hollywood contract to deliver the next episode. That is why he stopped the videos.

After the news of the raid in Abbottabad, there was nothing but praise, love and respect mentioned by Ayman and others about Osama. He was not a ‘frail man resigned to death’. He has a role much greater than being the Commander in Chief of the Mujahideen for the second Afghan war which began 2001. He was born to help the Islamic Mahdi, who is a messenger, leader who will help the Muslims as the anti-Christ rises trying to corrupt the world. The Mahdi will help unite the Muslims. After the Mahdi is martyred, Jesus will return and the Muslims will support and help him in the war against the tyranny of the anti-Christ and his desire for world dominion.

If he was martyred, then God was satisfied with him and his devotion to his religion. [though only God can decide on the issues of his embracing Syed Qutb's ideology on some aspects of jihad that they differ with]. If he is still alive, he will be working towards helping the Mahdi when he rises. He does not need to prove or disprove anything the US or anyone else has said about him including the statement that he died.

His core group of men will know the truth and at his direction, they will not dispute lies made against him including his death. He fights in another way, he likes to use lies against the people/countries who make them. He waits as a lion dies, living his life, waiting for opportunity, and strikes at a time of his choosing in a way of his choosing.

This is one of the things that has frustrated US intel. They want to provoke him to react in a certain manner and he will not. You raid his compound, abduct his wives, kill some of his children, will that cause him to come out and say that he himself is still alive? No. He accepts the will of Allah whatever that may be.

Even when the US had cruise missiles pointed at Afghanistan, did that deter him from his jihad? There is a lesson in that for those with discernment. After the raid in Abbottabad, the US sent 830 Blackwater spies to Afghanistan and there was approval for 800 more to be deployed later on, why? Who are they looking for that would justify that number of spies being deployed? Nuff said.

With regards to the disposition of the women who were purportedly living at the Abbotabad compound.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/asia/2012/03/201238152826336167.html

It doesn't make much sense that Saudi does not want to receive them back, as there is a presence of bin Laden's in Saudi. But if that is the case, one of the Emirate countries would certainly allow them to live peacefully there. If Pakistan is so outraged that they are in their country illegally, they should deport them to a neutral country or just provide safe haven in an amnesty way for them to remain in Pakistan. They were there at the sponsorship of their husband who fought against the Communist invasion in the 1980's which effected Pakistan and Afghanistan. On that basis they should be granted citizenship or deported to a neutral country. Qatar would probably accept them.

Syria - After Kofi Annan left his meeting with Bashar al Assad, the shelling resumed against the people of Homs. More than 8,000 people have been killed since the war against his regime began. All I can say is how many is enough before the world community says no he is not allowed to murder people in his country.

Afghanistan -

Afghanistan - The situation there has steadily deteriorated due to the acts of what the Taliban have called "barbaric" that have been waged against civillians and common people under the ISAF belief that they were Taliban affiliated. The most recent being the slaughter by a trained ISAF sniper in an unauthorized Night Raid in Panjwai district’s Zangawat region, Kandahar province. According to local accounts it was not 16 people but 50 people who were killed, and it was not just one gunmen who perpetrated the crime.

The Taliban report: “According to recent reports arriving from the area, the American invaders backed by their puppets (ANA) left their base last night (11/03/2012) and raided several homes of locals, located near their base in Balambi village of Panjwaee district.
“Witnesses from the scene say that during the raids, the American terrorists and their puppets shot the household members at point blank range and so far 50 bodies have been found and recovered by the villagers among which, 11 are from the home of Muhammad Wazir including himself. The unsuspecting innocent victims have been sprayed with hundreds of bullets and have been cold-bloodedly martyred.”

“In this night time operation, the barbaric American terrorists have also burnt down a number of homes of the ordinary people. Some news outlets have cited the Americans as saying that the casualties have been caused by airstrikes however the villagers categorically reject this claim and invite all to examine the victims who have either been shot or have been martyred by hand grenades hurled inside their rooms. Most of the victims are local villagers, women and children.”

These raids have been going on for quite some time now. Prior to the March 11 attack, on March 2nd , the US troops were searching searching homes in Karz area’s Mashkezo village, when according to local accounts “a martyrdom seeking Mujahid of Islamic Emirate (Abdul Shakoor) detonated his explosives vest in their midst. Reports add that the powerful explosion which took place at 02:00 pm local time left at least 10 invaders including their officer dead and 5 others wounded while an armored tank parked nearby was also destroyed. Karz area is located about 10 km south of Kandahar city and is the home the current head of the Kabul administration (Hamid Karzai).”

In another incident, NATO’s US-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said the soldiers died when a man “believed to be an Afghan National Army service member” and another in civilian clothing shot at the troops.

The civilian was a literacy teacher working in the outpost who grabbed a weapon from a soldier and opened fire, Zhary district chief Niaz Muhammad Sarhadi said. Other troops returned fire, killing the teacher and an Afghan army soldier, Sarhadi said.

ON that day, March 2nd local news media outlets received a letter that was a forgery, which said it was from Mullah Omar, Commander of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Taliban, which told them to stop fighting until negotiations for the Qatar office and peace agreement were completed. The Taliban immediately refuted the authenticity of this. And issued their statement:

“The Americans must unequivocally understand that the ongoing Jihad and struggle against them is the Islamic and religious obligation of our nation which is our guiding principle and it will continue as long as there is an illegal foreign presence on this soil. So it would be better for them to surrender to the aspirations of our nation and back away from their wrong policies or else they will keep wasting their efforts like the past decade and will keep leading their people towards more poverty and destruction.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan shall exert even more efforts to uproot such plots of the enemy, intensify its operations against the Americans, their allies and their despicable internal supporters and will continue unabatedly with its sacred Jihad until the complete withdrawal of all the foreign forces.”

On 3.5.12 The Taliban claimed responsibility for taking down a US drone or pilotless spy plane was brought down in Qushtifa district of Juzjan province the other day as it was shot by Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate the other day during a combat with the invading forces in which two of the US-NATA armored tanks had been destroyed killing and wounding a number of the oppositional forces.

There are daily battles in many places in Afghanistan, when the massacre in Panjwai occurred on 3.11.12 (which happens to be Osama bin Laden’s birthday and they all know that), they issued the following statement.

“The so called American peace keepers have once again quenched their thirst with the blood of innocent Afghan civilians in Kandahar province. According to recent reports arriving from the area, the American invaders backed by their puppets (ANA) left their base last night (11/03/2012) and raided several homes of locals, located near their base in Balambi village of Panjwaee district.

Witnesses from the scene say that during the raids, the American terrorists and their puppets shot the household members at point blank range and so far 50 bodies have been found and recovered by the villagers among which, 11 are from the home of Muhammad Wazir including himself. The unsuspecting innocent victims have been sprayed with hundreds of bullets and have been cold-bloodedly martyred.

The villagers say that this genocidal act, carried out by Americans and their hireling ANA took place last night at around midnight, adding that due to tens of civilians taking shelter in safe houses to protect themselves from this horror, many bodies have not yet been found which could potentially increase the number of casualties.

In this night time operation, the barbaric American terrorists have also burnt down a number of homes of the ordinary people. Some news outlets have cited the Americans as saying that the casualties have been caused by airstrikes however the villagers categorically reject this claim and invite all to examine the victims who have either been shot or have been martyred by hand grenades hurled inside their rooms. Most of the victims are local villagers, women and children.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan mujahideen are trying to gather the names of the victims and other details of this crime committed last night.”

An additional statement regarding this incident was released to media sources 3.12.12

"Rabi al Akhir 18, 1433, A.H. Monday, March 12, 2012
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The sick minded American savages, in continuation of their barbaric actions have once again reached out to committing a blood-soaked and inhumane crime in Panjwai district’s Zangawat region, Kandahar province today. According to their own statistics, more than 20 defenseless villagers were directly shot and killed whereas the scene testifies to numbers far greater than that. A large number from amongst the victims are innocent children, women and the elderly, martyred by the American barbarians who mercilessly robbed them of their precious lives and drenched their hands with their innocent blood.

According to witnesses from the scene, the American savages perpetrated this crime in the homes of three such villagers which posed no threat to them militarily or security wise and neither were theses martyred villagers a menace to them.

The American ‘terrorists’ want to come up with an excuse for the perpetrator of this inhumane crime by claiming that this immoral culprit was mentally ill.

If the perpetrators of this massacre were in fact mentally-ill then this testifies to yet another moral transgression by the American military because they are arming lunatics in Afghanistan who turn their weapons against the defenseless Afghans without giving a second thought.

Is there any military stipulation in the entire world which gives legality for unstable persons to be armed and be drafted into the military and then be given the duty of so-called peace keeping?

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, while sympathizing with the victims of this savage act as part of its Islamic and human obligation, gives assurance to their heirs that it shall take revenge from the invaders and the savage murderers for every single martyr with the help of Allah (SWT) and they shall receive punishment for their barbaric actions.

The Islamic Emirate once again calls on all the international human right organizations and NGOs, as part of their human conscience, to help the Afghans in preventing such unjustifiable crimes by the American invaders from taking place and to put them on trial as part of its moral obligation."

Secretary of Defense Chief, Leon Panetta issued this statement:

Mr Panetta told reporters aboard his plane en route to Kyrgyzstan that the suspect in the Afghan shooting spree would be brought to justice under the US military legal code, which allows for the death penalty in some cases. Asked if the suspect could be sentenced to death, Mr Panetta said: "My understanding is in these instances that could be a consideration." He condemned the attack as a "terrible loss of life." Mr Obama in a statement said: "This incident is tragic and shocking, and does not represent the exceptional character of our military and the respect that the United States has for the people of Afghanistan."

3.13.12 Hamid Karzai met with a delegation at a mosque to grieve the dead, but prior to that he accepted the first part of the Strategic Partnership agreement between the US and other nations for development projects between Afghanistan and other nations which include Afghanistan receiving aid. The US and other nations will kick in 4.1 billion dollars. The US will sign the deal with Afghanistan May 8th at the Camp David talks. Japan has already signed and committed on to deliver $111 million for reconstruction projects. The agreement was signed today between Afghanistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Jawid Ludin, and Reichiro Takahashi, Japan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan.

This action infuriated the Taliban because the agreement was accepted without foreign troops having been withdrawn from Afghanistan and because the Night Raids continue, their reaction thus was to open fire on the delegation as the group left the mosque in Panjwai district. Local accounts are:

Gunmen opened fire on the Afghan President's delegation sent to investigate the Kandahar killings as the group left a mosque in the Panjwai district on Tuesday morning, according to Afghan officials. No one from the delegation - which included two of Karzai's brothers - was hurt; however, one Afghan soldier was killed and three others were wounded. All were members of Afghanistan's security forces.

The three wounded include one policeman, a security guard from the National Directorate of Security and another Afghan soldier. Earlier reports said that a male civilian who was outside the mosque was shot in the leg, according to Abud Rahim Ayoubi, a member of Afghan parliament from Kandahar.

The delegation includes Karzai's brothers, Shah Wali Karzai and Qayuom Karzai, Tooryalai Wisa, the governor of Kandahar, and Asadullah Halid, Minister of Tribal and Border Affairs Shah Wali Karzai is head of the Karz district in Kandahar, and Qayoum Karzai is a member of the Kandahar provincial council The delegation was inside a mosque in the Panjwai district meeting with locals about the deliberate shooting of 16 unnarmed civilians by a US soldier on Sunday.

Meanwhile, hundreds of university students in eastern Afghanistan turned out for a demonstration on Tuesday against the Kandahar killings Nangahar provincial spokesman Ahmad Zia Abdulzai confirmed the reports, the demonstration lasted from 8 am till noon when the crowd was dispersed.

Some of the incidents from yesterday that have occurred are:

3.13.12 A bomb blast on an ISAF foot patrol yesterday at 03:00 pm left 1invader dead and 2 others wounded in Anzar Shali Karez area of Nawzad district.

3.13.12 Large scale attack in Urozgan Gorgen Nawa’s Ghorak area, Char Chino district yesterday at around dusk time. ISAF forces retreated by chopper.

3.13.12 US tank destroyed by landmine in Kala Shamir’s Maalik Kala area, Maiwand district on Monday at 02:00 pm.

3.13.12 Kakarhano village of Nad Ali district, ISAF took 3 civilians away after raiding their homes.

3.13.12 At around 08:00 am local time today, a US tank was struck and torn apart by a roadside bomb in Nad Ali’s Matki area, killing and wounding all occupants onboard.

The bottom line is, until troops are withdrawn, the fighting will continue. US and affiliated troops face execution and having their heads chopped off due to the ongoing night raids and execution of civilians throughout the country. A long time ago, Mullah Omar said they would sit down with Karzai and work out a deal ONCE foreign troops left Afghanistan.

Mostly everyone agrees peace will not happen until foreign troops leave. Look at Pakistan as an example, Al Qaida and the Pakistani Taliban were peacefully living in their areas not effecting the local govt. at all until the US decided to send drones there and start shooting at them. Half of the problems these countries have is due to foreign troops being there.

The Pakistani military really does not need our help to secure their country, they have been doing that by themselves for years.

In Afghanistan, I certainly think a deal could be reached where some provinces which are under Taliban control anyway, just remain that way, they live their lives and the other provinces live under secular culture and control. That is the best case scenario the US will achieve there, it’s time to stop the violence and the killing.

There is a new press release which says that the raid in Panjwai was not a random act, because there are accounts of "air support", meaning it was planned and pre meditated.

The press release is as follows:

Rabi al-Akhir 19, 1433 A.H, Tuesday, March 13, 2012

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The barbaric crime carried out by the American savages on Sunday night was strongly condemned by all the morally conscience people of the world as a sadistic act and the savage perpetrators were considered as the violators of all human ethics and principles however the stance chosen by the barbaric Americans was once again in opposition to that of the entire world. They once pronounced this intentional savage act as an unfortunate action carried out by a lone mentally broken down soldier.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan issued an official statement in the initial phases of this atrocity but deems it necessary to elucidate its position after the unjustifiable explanations and interpretations conjured by the Americans:

1. The American invaders are claiming that a single mentally-ill soldier was the perpetrator of this unambiguous crime and consider it as an individual transgression and unintentional action in order to protect themselves from legal action. But according to witnesses and the scale of the crime scene, it becomes clear that this was not act of a deranged individual but rather the actions of a group which was intentional and pre-planned. All the cautionary military steps were also taken including the use of air-power. Therefore all the international right groups and judicial organs should treat them as war criminals and they should be handed over to the heirs of the martyrs for Qisas Bil-misl (death for killing/life for life) in accordance with criminal law.

2. The occupying Americans claim that there were only 16 people killed in this massacre but according to witnesses and the number of observed funerals, that number is far exceeded, the heirs of whom demand justice for their dead from the murderers.

3. The American invaders once again extended empty apologies to relieve themselves of this crime and for it to be forgotten. Instead of seeking forgiveness from the families of the victims, it sent apologies to its puppet Karzai which in itself is a crime and which will not be accepted by the Afghan people in any circumstance.

4. Karzai, his stooge regime’s insensate members and the puppet provincial officials, as the defenders of the American invaders, are shedding crocodile tears as sign of sympathy with the victims and on the other hand, are brushing off this crime as an ordinary incident with a few empty words. They have even banned the courageous people of Kandahar and the country from taking to the streets which clearly demonstrates their utter hypocrisy besides it being considered as rubbing salt on the victim’s wounds.

5. The Islamic Emirate, as the defenders of the legitimate rights of the oppressed Afghan people, once again warns the American savages that its Mujahideen will not be content except by avenging its oppressed countrymen. With the divine help of Allah Almighty, we shall cut off the heads of your murderous sadistic troops in every corner of the country in revenge for the martyrdom of every single Afghan and we shall not desist from utilizing any means for this purpose.

6. Similarly, the Islamic Emirate would like to remind the people of America and its allies including NATO that this unforgiving crime of your soldiers depicts a very clear picture of your human rights and human sympathy to the Afghans and the entire world!!! It clearly shows your anti-human conduct against defenseless Afghans from afar. You must understand that with such crimes, you have played the role of the true inheritors of the Nazi’s and not that of peace-keepers but pay strict attention, if you do not control your stubborn governments then such actions will cost you a very hefty price.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

Remarks: There was air support while these raids were going on, that means there are factions who are doing what they think is right, reminiscent of the Mei Lei massacre from Viet Nam where commanders and fighters who are sick of war just take it upon themselves to do what they want. The Taliban brought up the issue of how does the US allow soldiers who are not fit for combat to be in combat and be given weapons. If it was just one gunman that should considered, but there have been accounts that there were at least three gunmen and now locals say there was air support while the raids were happening.

3.14.12

Yes I know today is Thursday, today's update is based on news released yesterday 3.14.12.

AFGHANISTAN

http://news.yahoo.com/u-soldier-flown-home-afghan-anger-mars-panetta-022251 034.html

Karzai is asking NATO to leave Afghan villages. Karzai, in a statement after meeting U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in Kabul, said as a consequence of the weekend massacre, "international security forces have to be taken out of Afghan village outposts and return to (larger) bases". The Taliban decision to suspend the talks was a blow to NATO hopes of a negotiated settlement to the war, which has cost the United States $510 billion and the lives of over 1,900 soldiers.

"The Islamic Emirate has decided to suspend all talks with Americans taking place in Qatar from (Thursday) onwards until the Americans clarify their stance on the issues concerned and until they show willingness in carrying out their promises instead of wasting time," the group said in a statement.

[Full Statement included in this blog update]

Panetta "I assured him first and foremost that I shared his regrets about what took place. I again pledged to him that we are proceeding with a full investigation here and that we will bring the individual involved to justice. He accepted that," Panetta told reporters before leaving Afghanistan.

The Taliban said in its statement that the United States had only responded to its demands including the release of Taliban prisoners from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, with a list of conditions which were "not only unacceptable, but also in contradiction with the earlier agreed upon points".

"So it was due to their alternating and ever changing position that the Islamic Emirate was compelled to suspend all dialogue with the Americans," the statement said, using the Taliban's name for itself.

TALIBAN PRESS RELEASE STATEMENT:

Rabi al Kahir 21, 1433 A.H. , Thursday, March 15, 2012

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The Islamic Emirate decided on officially inaugurating its diplomatic office in Qatar a short while ago on 8th Zafar-ul-Muzaffar 1433 which corresponds with 3rd January 2012 for the purposes of reaching an understanding with the international community and for addressing some specific issues with the American invaders after arriving at an agreement with the government of Qatar.

The aim behind the induction of a diplomatic office was so that the Islamic Emirate can establish contact with the international community under complete freedom and away from any danger and to ascertain the invaders in face to face dialogue that we are not going to abandon the struggle for our freedom and will not pardon you until the withdrawal of your last soldier and until you let the Afghans establish an Islamic government for themselves. Similarly we wanted to quash the excuses put forward by the enemy who relieved themselves by repeatedly saying that the Mujahideen have no address with which contact can be made. Furthermore we wished to clarify to all the parties that in the future, we are prepared for such interaction with everyone as is done between any two sovereign nations in which every side gives consideration to its own established laws. We also wanted to erase the dull picture of Islamic Emirate painted and presented to the world by our enemies who dismissed us as a warring faction which has no political, administrative and social capabilities or that it wished to harm other nations all the while the Islamic Emirate has transparent policies, complete competence and long term plans regarding all these issues.

In this connection, the political envoys of the Islamic Emirate agreed upon the inauguration of a diplomatic office, the arrangement about which was already made with the government of Qatar and started holding preliminary talks with the occupying enemy over the exchange of prisoners. The Americans initially agreed upon taking practical steps regarding the exchange of prisoners and to not oppose our political office but with the passage of time, they turned their backs on their promises and started initiating baseless propaganda portraying the envoys of the Islamic Emirate as having commenced multilateral negotiations for solving the Afghan dilemma.

At the same time Hamid Karzai, who can not even make a single political decision without the prior consent of the Americans, falsely proclaimed that the Kabul administration and the Americans have jointly started peace talks with Taliban; whereas the Islamic Emirate has not discussed any other issue apart from the two aforementioned (i.e. the induction of an office and the exchange of prisoners) and neither have we accepted any other condition with any other side nor have we conducted any talks with Karzai administration.

A memorandum of understanding which was agreed upon earlier was not yet fulfilled when an American representative presented a list of conditions in his latest meeting with the Islamic Emirate which were not only unacceptable but also in contradiction with the earlier agreed upon points. So it was due to their alternating and ever changing position that the Islamic Emirate was compelled to suspend all dialogue with the Americans. We must categorically state that the real source of obstacle in talks was the shaky, erratic and vague standpoint of the Americans therefore all the responsibility for the halt also falls on their shoulders.

To elucidate the standpoint of the Islamic Emirate to our own Muslim people, to the transgressors and to the entire world, the inauguration of political office in Qatar was not but for the sake of reaching an understanding with the outside world and particularly for the exchange of prisoners with the Americans in the initial stages. But it seems that the invading Americans and their stooge regime took advantage of these measures of Islamic Emirate and sought to achieve other malicious objectives and therefore are postponing the core issues and are wasting time.

So the Islamic Emirate has decided to suspend all talks with Americans taking place in Qatar from today onwards until the Americans clarify their stance on the issues concerned and until they show willingness in carrying out their promises instead of wasting time.

Similarly the Afghan issue has two main dimensions; one is internal and the other external. The external dimension is associated with Americans and the internal dimension is connected with the Afghans themselves. Until and unless the external dimension is settled which rests entirely in the hands of the foreigners, discussing the internal dimension is meaningless and is nothing more than a waste of time. Therefore the Islamic Emirate considers talking with the Kabul administration as pointless.

At the same time, the Islamic Emirate is fully prepared, has enduring patience and long-term Jihadi strategies against the malicious plots of the enemy and enjoys the ceaseless support of its believing nation. The Islamic Emirate correlates the presence of the alien forces in Afghanistan with instability of the entire region and will not tolerate it in the present shape nor temporary and neither in the shape of permanent bases.

The Islamic Emirate once again calls on the entire world and particularly the regional countries to support and back the Islamic Emirate in expelling of the invaders in order to achieve peace and stability in the whole region.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

3.14.12 Continued

While negotiations are undergoing between Karzai, the US and the Taliban other important developments are also taking place.

Russia wants to give NATO an air base to use for supplies for ISAF in Afghanistan.

http://www.dawn.com/2012/03/15/russia-may-give-nato-a-base-for-afghan-suppl y-runs.html

MOSCOW: Russia’s foreign minister on Wednesday endorsed a proposal to allow Nato use of a southern Russian air base as a hub for transport of supplies to Afghanistan and suggested It was premature to withdraw troops from the war-torn country.
Sergei Lavrov said the proposal to lease Nato an air base in the Volga River city of Ulyanovsk for non-lethal Nato supply transits to Afghanistan via Central Asia must get formal government approval but is in Russia’s “national interest.”

He also voiced concern that a premature troop withdrawal would lead to a security vacuum near Russia’s border in Afghanistan, where Moscow fought a disastrous 1979-89 war which still haunts Russian and killed 15,000 Soviet troops.

“We are not happy with the artificial deadlines announced as a reference point for the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan,” he said. “First, it is necessary to achieve a basic level of order maintained by Afghan security forces.”

The first meeting of Afghan-Russia Joint Economic Commission was held on 1st -2nd March 2012 in Moscow, capital of Russia. The Afghan delegation was led by Dr. Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal, Minister of Finance and the Russian delegation was headed by Mr. Sergey Shmatko, Minister of Energy of Russia. Both parties discussed issues pertaining to economic cooperation in the areas of energy, trade, transport, Agriculture, health and education. A number of Russian companies expressed interest in participating in various areas of energy, industries and transport in Afghanistan.

GERMANY Joins Strategic Partnership of Countries with Afghanistan

Afghanistan's Minister of Defence Abdul Rahim Wardak said Germany has pledged to support Afghanistan beyond its withdrawal of troops in 2014 with a strategic partnership agreement.

Germany's Defence Minister Thomas de Maiziere met with Wardak in Kabul on Wednesday, following his visit to Pakistan on Tuesday. "The international community and Germany has promised that they will not allow Afghanistan to become a haven for terrorists," Wardak said at a press conference after the meeting with de Maiziere.

"[Germany] supports Afghanistan's security process - Afghanistan is playing a major role in stability and security of the region." He did not give a date for the agreement, but the understanding was it would be soon.

De Maiziere said that German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who made a one-day visit to Afghanistan on Monday, has discussed the long-term agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. De Maiziere also met with Karzai and reassured him the 2014 deadline for withdrawing troops from Afghanistan is on target, but that Germany would continue to support the development of the country and its security forces.

"I stressed that we would not leave Afghanistan after 2014," he said.

The meeting between the two defence ministers included discussions about handing over security responsibility for Mazar-e-Sharif and the Samangan province in the north to the Afghan forces soon, Wardak said.

Germany is the third biggest supplier of troops to the 130,000-strong Nato-led forces after the US and Britain. It has around 4,900 troops in Afghanistan, most are based in Kunduz province. Fifty-three German soldiers have died in Afghanistan since the start of 2001.

http://www.dawn.com/2012/03/15/nato-supply-route-parliaments-decision-to-be -final.html

ISLAMABAD: Heads of parties in the ruling coalition and the chiefs of army, air force and the ISI agreed on Wednesday that a decision about military supplies to Nato/Isaf forces through Pakistan would be taken by parliament in its joint session likely to be held on March 19 after the presidential address on March 17.

The high-level meeting held in the Presidency was presided over by President Asif Ali Zardari. It was also attended by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

A one-to-one meeting on Wednesday between President Zardari and Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani decided that relations with the United States would be based on principles of sovereign equality. The two meetings were held after the US government had announced that restoration of Nato supplies would be of benefit to Pakistan.

The meeting in the Presidency was attended by Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Asfandyar Wali Khan, Dr Farooq Sattar, Mir Israrullah Zehri, Munir Khan Orakzai, Engr Shaukatullah, Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Air Chief Marshal Qamar Suleman, ISI Director General Lt-Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha, Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jillani and former foreign secretary Salman Bashir.

Remarks: It seems like the Taliban were offerred an office in Qatar to quietly relocate them and get them out of the way, while Strategic Partnerships with several countries are put in place that will take the resources indigenous to Afghanistan and put profits in the hands of foreign investors.

One might argue, well the Afghans need help in developing their natural resources they cannot do that by themselves, and even Mullah Omar wanted to partner with Bridas to help manage their oil resources. We will have to wait and see how this turns out.

Re: Quran Burnings - Remember we were told it was an accident? Might not be true. First off the Qurans at Bagram were only there for the prisoners use, which means they had to have been confiscated from the prison. The official explanation was that they were confiscated from the Library area because people had written inciteful things in them. Firsly, no Muslim, particularly not a Taliban would write in a Quran, that would be defiling the book, and they would NEVER do that. Now the Taliban have learned that Qurans have been confiscated from prisoners at another prison in Afghanistan, Pul E Charki, and the prisoners who objected to it were put in solitary confinement, and have been denied food and electricity for the past two days.

PRESS RELEASE:

Rabi Al Akhir, 20, 1433 A.H, Wednesday, March 14, 2012

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Even though our innocent countrymen are being targeted with persecution and heart-rending terror from every direction and their cries from the pangs of tyranny imposed upon them by the invaders and their henchmen can be heard everyday, the stooge Kabul administration’s Ministry of Interior and the notorious intelligence figures from the former Communist regime’s KHAD now coined NDS have gone a step further and decided that all the copies of the Holy Quran and other religious texts are to be confiscated from the possession of all the political detainees locked up in the Pul-e-Charkhi prison.

They claim that it is these books and the Holy Quran which incite people towards so-called ‘terrorism’ and evil-doing!!! and with this pretext, all the copies of the said books and of Holy Quran have been taken away from the prisoners. What is most astonishing and a point of great regret is that this step coincides with the same date on which the American occupying troops burnt copies of the Holy Quran and other religious texts in an incinerator in Bagram airbase. With this, we can clearly establish whom the orders were handed down from and the reasons behind why the stooge Kabul administration took this step? because the American Generals also put forward the same excuse for their barbaric crime of burning the Holy Quran and other religious books claiming they were misused by the inmates!!!

Similarly, the so called officials of the National Directorate Services have taken out hundreds of inmates from normal cells under various pretenses and thrown them into solitary confinement where they endure inhumane conditions in order to abuse the defenseless inmates and bring them under physiological pressure.

In reaction to this inhumane and un-Islamic practice by the prison officials, the oppressed prisoners, as part of their religious obligation and in order to raise their voices, have gone on a strike related to which some have wired their mouths whereas the officials have responded with another savage step by shutting off all electricity and food items. The inmates have gone hungry for two days and they are languishing in unbearable conditions. All of this is happening despite the voice of prisoners being suppressed by every means possible and are being strangled from their necks. No one is allowed access to information about the poor condition of the detainees.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns this inhumane, anti-Afghan and un-Islamic treatment of the prisoners and warns the perpetrators that they will definitely have to pay back heavily to the Afghan nation for their savage actions.

Alongside this, it calls on the United Nations, all the international right organizations and the international Red Cross to stop these illegal and inhumane acts of the Kabul officials and to help all the political Afghan prisoners home and abroad in receiving their rights.

Islamic Emirate would also like to remind the supposed Muslim lawmakers in the Kabul parliament that if they keep silent as enmity is openly being expressed towards religious studies and the Holy Quran in a Muslim country and against political prisoners most of whom are scholars and memorizers of the Quran then they shall also be considered as partners in this crime.

Islamic Emirate also calls upon its countrymen to stand resolute against the Kabul administration and its handlers in every corner and avenge their abused Muslim brothers by retaliating against the perpetrators who are struggling against our independence and an Islamic government from being established.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

Comments: The prisons cannot be run as inhumane torture centers. The prisoners must not be denied basic conditions set forth in the Geneva Conventions. If this is how these prisons are going to be run, there cannot be peace in Afghanistan.

Pakistan says the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China has "no more interest" in funding a project to build a natural-gas pipeline from Iran to Pakistan.

A Pakistani Finance Ministry spokesman said on March 14 that the Chinese institution had been negotiating with Pakistan's Habib Bank over financing for the Pakistani section of the pipeline. He added that he did not know why the Chinese bank had pulled out of the deal. A source said Iran had already offered to invest in the project on the Pakistani side, and Islamabad has "options to talk to the governments of China and Russia."

Kabul, March 15:
In a highly unusual move, around 200 U.S. Marines were asked to leave their weapons outside the tent where U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was set to speak during his trip to Afghanistan on Wednesday. "You've got one of the most important people in the world in the room," Maj. Gen. Mark Gurganus told reporters at Camp Leatherneck, dismissing concerns related to the shooting. "This is not a big deal." He said he had given the order because the two dozen Afghan soldiers also there were unarmed and he did not want to treat them differently.

BRUSSELS — NATO vowed Thursday to stick to its plan to finish handing Afghans control of security nationwide by the end of 2014 after the Afghan president called for the switch to be completed a year earlier. With tensions high after a US soldier killed 16 villagers in a rampage on Sunday, Afghan President Hamid Karzai demanded US troops leave villages and that NATO wrap up the transition in 2013 instead of 2014.

NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu said the transition, which started last year, was “making progress” and that allies would “map out how we intend to complete the transition process successfully and responsibly” at a May summit in Chicago. “We’re ready to take over all security responsibilities now,” Karzai’s spokesman Aimal Faizi quoted him as telling Panetta. “We’d prefer that the process be completed in 2013, not 2014.”

Turkey is considering setting up a buffer zone for Syrian refugees. The number of Syrians currently staying in Turkey rose to 14,700 yesterday.

Turkey is to open a new refugee camp near the southern town of Kilis next month to host a further 10,000 Syrians. Work has also begun on a camp near the eastern end of the border at Ceylanp?nar for 20,000 people. That would bring the total capacity in Turkey for Syrian refugees to 45,000. Turkey has not yet sent the invitations for the “Friends of Syria” group meeting that will take place in ?stanbul, Ünal said, adding that an invitation for France was still being considered.

And Yes the Saudi Embassy in Sanaa Yemen was attacked by Al Qaida rebels, but there have been reports of large numbers of US forces having been deployed there, staying at or near the Sheraton hotel, so some other reporters should look into that.

AFGHANISTAN - update: Shooter Named, Robert Bales
3.16.12

As the reports the Taliban received from the villagers in Panjwai where the massacre of more than 16 people happened (they recovered 50 bodies), Afghan President Hamid Karzai also confirms the attack was NOT by one lone gunman because the forensics showed people were killed in FOUR rooms in the house and then brought into one room. One gunman could not have killed people in four rooms simultaneously. This was an attack, as the Taliban said by at least 3 soldiers. They also reported that locals saw air support (helicopter) when the attack occurred.

When Karzai wanted to get cooperation from the US he said it was denied.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/asia/2012/03/2012316133714331561.html

Locals have said that after the people were killed in the four rooms others were killed one to 2 km away, one person could not walk that far in the time frame that the others were killed.

Afghans have been demanding the soldier, who was flown out of Afghanistan by the U.S. military, be returned to stand trial. His attorney, John Henry Browne, said the soldier, who was originally taken to Kuwait, was expected to arrive Friday at a U.S. military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Comment: As reported in CNN, the attorney defended serial killer Ted Bundy, and they are pursuing info. regarding why he was deployed when he had injuries including to his brain, from his three prior tours in Iraq. So it seems like if the military comes down on him, they will say, well he shouldn't have been sent there in the first place, it's your fault.

The Afghan Parliament, based on info. they have received believes 20 soldiers were involved.

UPDATE: Suspect in Shooting Named:

Military sources late Friday identified Army Staff Sgt. Robert Bales as the name of the 38-year-old suspect accused of killing 16 Afghan civilians in a Sunday rampage.

He was told that he was not going to be redeployed," Browne said. "The family was counting on him not being redeployed. And so he and the family were told that his tours in the Middle East were over. And then literally overnight that changed. So I think that it would be fair to say that he and the family were not happy that he was going back."

Browne said the day before the shooting in the southern Kandahar Province on March 11 the soldier had witnessed one of his fellow American soldiers getting his legs blown off in an explosion. The lawyer described the wounded soldier as a friend of the shooter and said the incident affected all U.S. soldiers at the military base in Kandahar.

Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri is calling on Pakistanis to join the Arab Spring uprisings and revolt against their government, saying the country's leaders are "slaves of America," according to a recent video posted on jihadist forums Friday.

"Cannot a million free and noble people rise from amongst the Muslims of Pakistan to stage a protest against the generals of Pakistan army so as to force them to stop their treachery ... by participating with America in its war against Islam, compel them to stop drone strikes and pressurize them to bring an end to army operations in the tribal areas?" al-Zawahiri says in the video, according to a translation by the Site Intelligence group, which monitors jihadi forums.

"O our people in Pakistan! The Arab world around you is surging in a wave of revolution. Tyrants and oppressive rulers are falling. Why are you not making any move? Why are you not deposing these tyrants? Why are you not toppling these treacherous bribe-takers?"

In the video posted Friday, he also makes a reference to Warren Weinstein, a U.S. citizen who was captured in Pakistan in August.

"He will not return to his family, by the will of Allah, until our demands are met," he says, calling for the release of Muslim prisoners such as the "Blind Sheikh" Omar Abdul Rahman and the relatives of bin Laden.

Remarks: Well, Ayman al Zawahiri said Osama would haunt America, this seems to be happening.

3.17.12 AFGHANISTAN, MOGADISHU

KABUL - The Taliban claim responsibility for the downing of an ISAF chopper where 10 of those on board were killed yesterday. The helicopter went down in Hasan Khel area of this district at 10:00 a.m. and fell on house causing it to collapse. Witness near the area say the helicopter caught fire killing four members of the house and wounding another three in the house.

KABUL - The Taliban also fired two missiles into Bagram Air Base on Friday.

KUNAR - Taliban militants claim they have killed at least six US-led soldiers in clashes in eastern Afghanistan, Press TV reports. The clashes took place late Friday, in Kunar Province’s Marawara district. Afghan officials say eight Taliban members and five Afghan forces working with US forces have been killed in the clashes.
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/232141.html

PUL E CHARKI PRISON:

The number of prisoners on strike in Pul E Charki prison has risen to 100 over the past few days. Reporters are being denied access, and the Taliban have asked for the Red Cross and United Nations and humanitarian organizations to intervene in this matter.

Details emerging (from messages smuggled out by inmates not in solitary confinement)indicate that ALL the Qurans were removed from the prisoners on the same day that the Qurans were burned at Bagram, which would seem to indicate a coordinated effort by those running these prisons. It is a little too much coincidence for most to believe.

MASSACRE AT PANJWAI MARCH 11 - Update

People have wondered why this massacre is more of a big deal than other massacres which have occurred during the Night Raids. There were reportedly 50 bodies recovered from 3 villages, and now we learn that in the village where Sgt. Bales is accused of having killed 16 people, two of the women were raped before being killed. Now it is even more clear he did not act alone because there is no way for just one may to rape two women in a house of 16 people and walk out of there alive, NOT in Afghanistan. Not in a four room house with 16 people there.

The details that have emerged on who Mr. Bales is indicate he had prior anger anger management issues on at least two occassions, one where he was arrested for assaulting a girlfriend, and another when he was involved in a hit and run accident. Additionally he had been injured, concussion in Iraq and was still deployed anyway to Afghanistan. After three tours of duty in Iraq lasting 10, 11 and 15 months, he had been told his service was done, then he was told he was being deployed again. One day before the shooting in Panjwai, he and other soldiers from his unit saw one of their fellow soldiers have his legs blown off. That soldier died from injuries.

Sgt. Bales and his wife ave two children, ages 3 and 4, the day he was identified and arrested, they put their house up for sale. He is now in military custody in Leavenworth, Kansas.

MOGADISHU -

Al Qaida militiamen launched an attack on the Presidential Palace where governmental leader officers are located. This was in response to Quran desecration inside a mosque earlier in the week.

"Sheikh Ali Mahmud Rage, claimed responsibility of the operation through Al-Andalus Radio on behalf of Harakat Al- Shabaab Al Mujahideen and confirmed that the operation came as a reprisal for the apostate militias aggression against the Book of Allah in Mogadishu, when several of the apostate militias in the beginning of this week ripped some Qurans inside a mosque in the Wadajir District in Mogadishu, then they used the Quran pages as toilet papers and throw it in the toilets, this aggression angered every zealous towards the religion and Book of Allah in Mogadishu. AFGHANISTAN

Three Villages the night of March 11, Zangabad, Allokzai, Balambi, on March 10 there was a raid in the village of Mashkezo where ISAF soldiers encounterd an IED and one of their soldiers died after his legs were blown off. This was presumably the incident that sparked the revenge attacks that occurred on March 11th.

Zangabad village: Muhammad Wazir's entire family including him were killed.
Alokzaiai: Haji Sayed Jan, four members of his family.

While the US maintains it was one lone soldier, the Afghan Parliament has founded based on it's investigation (five Parliamentarian members were on the fact finding committee) hearing from eyewitnesses from the three villages that 15-20 US soldiers were involved in the massacres.

Just last month, on February 8, 2012, a NATO air strike killed several children in the eastern Kapinsa province of Afghanistan, with "young Afghans of varying ages" identified among the casualties. Similar strikes were responsible for the murders of nearly 200 civilians last year alone. Furthermore, in less than ten months from 2010 to early 2011, well over 1,500 Afghan civilians were killed by U.S. and NATO forces in night raids, a brutal occupation tactic that has been embraced - along with drone attacks - by Barack Obama.

According to a September 2011 study by the Open Society Foundation, “An estimated 12 to 20 night raids now occur per night, resulting in thousands of detentions per year, many of whom are non-combatants." These raids produce heavy civilian casualties and often target the wrong people.

Sunday March 11, 2012, Reuters reported,

Western forces shot dead 16 civilians including nine children in southern Kandahar province on Sunday, Afghan officials said, in a rampage that witnesses said was carried out by American soldiers who were laughing and appeared drunk.

One Afghan father who said his children were killed in the shooting spree accused soldiers of later burning the bodies. Witnesses told Reuters they saw a group of U.S. soldiers arrive at their village in Kandahar's Panjwayi district at around 2 am, enter homes and open fire.

The New York Times reported that "a United States Army sergeant methodically killed at least 16 civilians, 9 of them children," after "[s]talking from home to home."

Residents of three villages in the Panjwai district of Kandahar Province described a terrifying string of attacks in which the soldier, who had walked more than a mile from his base, tried door after door, eventually breaking in to kill within three separate houses. At the first, the man gathered 11 bodies, including those of four girls younger than 6, and set fire to them, villagers said.

The Guardian added, "Among the dead was a young girl in a green and red dress who had been shot in the forehead. The bodies of other victims appeared partially burned. A villager claimed they had been wrapped in blankets and set on fire by the killer."

"witnesses' accounts that several U.S. soldiers were present."

"I saw that all 11 of my relatives were killed, including my children and grandchildren," said a weeping Haji Samad, who said he had left his home a day earlier. The walls of the house were blood-splattered.

"They (Americans) poured chemicals over their dead bodies and burned them," Samad told Reuters at the scene.

Neighbors said they had awoken to crackling gunfire from American soldiers, who they described as laughing and drunk. "They were all drunk and shooting all over the place," said neighbor Agha Lala, who visited one of the homes where killings took place. "Their (the victims') bodies were riddled with bullets."

"Some villagers reported that more than one US soldier was involved," wrote Emma Graham-Harrison, The Guardian's Kabul-based correspondent.

A reporter for The New York Times "inspected bodies that had been taken to the nearby American military base counted 16 dead, and saw burns on some of the children’s legs and heads. 'All the family members were killed, the dead put in a room, and blankets were put over the corpses and they were burned,' said Anar Gula, an elderly neighbor who rushed to the house after the soldier had left. 'We put out the fire.'"

One of the survivors from the attack, Abdul Hadi, 40, said he was at home when a soldier broke down the door. "My father went out to find out what was happening, and he was killed," he said. "I was trying to go out and find out about the shooting, but someone told me not to move, and I was covered by the women in my family in my room, so that is why I survived."

Rafiullah was shot in the legs, but his pain and anger were reserved for the man who he says "insulted" the women in his home. He claims that the gunman removed some items of clothing from the women after they were shot.

COMMENTS: 15-20 Night raids are being done each day, abducting civilians from their homes. In the March 11 raid, Three villages, Zangabad, Alokzai , Balandi, sufferred at tje hands of the soldiers involved in what seems like a coordinated, retaliatory act for the IED explosion in Mashkezo village the night before that which took ONE soldier's life. At leaast 16 known dead, locals say 50 killed.

Mohammad Wazir's entire family killed. No it is not the work of one person, when witnesses saw two helicopters providing air support to the rogue group of 15-20 soldiers who went on this rampage, reportedly raping women, shooting and burning children.

If we as a nation do not stop these activities, then we really cannot be surprised when there are attacks in this country. These were random acts of genocide, war in and of itself if immoral, is random genocide now an acceptable consequence of immoral wars?

[re: 9/11 - no Afghans were involved in it, on what basis do we murder villagers in this country? Mullah Omar denouced the attacks of 9/11 as un Islamic and said he would hand over Osama to an International court if the US only provided evidence of his involvement in the attacks, no evidence provided, why not? ]

3.18.12 YEMEN

There is news an American has been assassinated in Yemen for promoting Christianity.

"The victim was identified as Joel Shrun, or Sharm, and reportedly worked for the Swedish Training Institute, which is run by the Swedish Free Mission, a charity funded by the Swedish government and religious groups.

A group linked to al-Qaida claimed responsibility. "This operation comes as a response to the campaign of Christian proselytizing that the West has launched against Muslims," an unidentified person said in a text message to journalists, claiming responsibility on behalf of the Ansar al-Sharia (Partisans of Islamic Law). "

Remarks: Many people do not know that originally Yemen was a Christian nation during the time of Muhammad, peace be upon him, the Prophet of Islam. Muhammad, peace be upon him, tried converting the Jews and Christians of many lands to Islam, but he did not FORCE them, as the command he was given by Archangel Gabriel was there must be no compulsion in religion. People must have free choice, that is how God created man with free will. When a Jewish delegation and Christian delegation were visiting Arabia, (there was no house of Saud back then, it was just Arabia) the prophet even allowed them to pray in the masjids (mosques). So that they could fulfill their duties to their religions. He still encouraged them to convert to Islam but hey declined his offers.

He did not kill them, he tried another way.

Yemen was a Christian country, Muhammad, peace be upon him, sent his most devout companion, Abu Ubaidah ibn al Jarrah back to Yemen with the Christians. He was not afraid of Jarrah becoming converted to Christianity, his faith was unshakeable. This one man, Abu Ubaidah ibn al Jarrah converted the entire country of Yemen from Christianity to Islam.

This is one of the reasons why they will not permit Christians to try to turn back the hands of time in Yemen, aside from it being Osama's birthplace and all of the modern day fighters viewing him as their role model.

What is the correct stance? Invite all to the truth as you know it, but there must be no compulsion, if they choose the wrong path, there is nothing you can do about that. Murdering people because they are of a different faith is wrong. The Quran even says there will be a group of Jews, Christians and Muslims who will have no fear on the day of Judgement because they will have remained true to what was given to them, there will be 70 false sects of Jews, 71 false sects of Christians and 72 false sects of Muslims, the Quran says this, people must therefore be very careful, and learn from the examples of the messengers and prophets, Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jesus, Muhammad peace be upon them all.

Quran:

Al Ma'idah (The Feast)

5:69 All those who believe, and the Jews and the Sabians, and the Christians, in fact anyone who believes in God and the Last Day, and does good deeds, will have nothing to fear or regret.

Al Baqarah (The Cow)

2:135 They say become Jews or become Christians and fight the right way. Say "No we follow the way of Abraham, the upright, who was not an idolator".

2:136 Say "We believe in God and what has been sent down to us, and what had been revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac and Jacob and their progeny, and that which was given to Moses and Christ, and to all the other prophets by the Lord, we make no distinction among them, and we submit to Him".

2:256 "There is no compulsion in the matter of faith. Distinct is the way of guidance now from error. He who turns away from the forces of evil and believes in God, will surely hold fast to a handle that is strong and unbreakable for God hears all and knows every thing.

Al Imran (The Family of Imran)

3:199 Certainly among the people of the Book are some who believe in God and in what has been revealed to you and had been revealed to them, and the bow in humility before God, do not trade for paltry gain the signs of God. Their reward is verily with their Lord. And swift is the reckoning of God.

An Nisa (The Women)

4:171 O People of the Book, do not be fanatical in your faith, and say nothing but the truth about God. THe Messiah who is Jesus, son of Mary, was only an apostle of God, and a command of HIS which HE sent to Mary, as a mercy from HIM. So believe in God and His Apostles, but do not call HIM Trinity. Abstain from this for your own good, for God is only God, and far from HIS glory is it to beget a son. All that is in the heavens and earth belongs to Him, and sufficient is God for all help.

Islam does not deny deny Jesus was a messenger and prophet.

Al Maidah (The Feast)

5:46 Later in the train of prophets we sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah which had been sent down before him and gave the Gospel containing guidance and light which corroborated the earlier Torah.

5:47 Let the people of the Gospel judge by what has been revealed in it by God, and those who do not judge in accordance with God has revealed are the transgressors.

5:48 And to you we have revealed the Book containing the truth, confirming the earlier reveleations, and preserving them from change and corruption. So judge between them by what has been revealed by God, and do not follow their whims, side steppping the truth that has reached you. To each of you we have given a law and a way and pattern of life. If God had pleased he could have made you one people professing one faith, but he wished to try you and test you by that which he gave you. So try to excel in good deeds, to Him you will ALL return in the end when he will tell you of what you were at variance.

So what is the bottom line, people are supposed to adhere to the teachings that were sent down to their people in the region where they were. The Jews were given the Torah, they are supposed to adhere to that. The Christians were given the Gospel, they are to adhere to that, and the Arabs and other peoples in those lands were given the Quran and must adhere to that.

Organized religions changed the teachings, misleading the world. All religions tell of the coming of the anti-Christ, his subjugating the world before Judgement Day. The Quran speaks of it also in the Chapter of Bani Israel (The Children of Israel). Iblis (Satan) refused to bow down to Adam when God told him to, God wanted to punish him right then and there, but Iblis believed he was correct in refusing to bow down to a mortal man.

God's anger was that Iblis refused to follow what HE told him to do. It was the disobedience that angered him. Iblis asked for respite till the day of Judement, he told God that he could help him weed out the undeserving from the earth, by misleading the disbelievers and those unworthy to be in the kingdom. God agreed but told him "you will have no power over my devotees, your Lord is sufficient as their protector" (Quran Bani Isra'il 17:65)

God told the people of Israel "you shall create disorder twice in the land and become exceedingly arrogant" Bail Israel 17:4

17:7 If you do good, you will do so for your own good, if you do ill you will do it for your own loss, so when the time of the second prediction comes, we shall rouse another prople to shame you, and enter the Temple as they had done the first ime, and to destroy what they conquered utterly".

The Bible tells this also Ezekiel and Zechariah.

The Muslims will be the people who fight against the Jews to take control of Jerusalem and Temple Mount. The war will come, 10 nations will be involved.

Bani Israel 17:62 If you defer my term (judgement) till the Day of Resurrection, I wll bring his progency into complete subjugation barring a few"

Satan will bring into subjugation the entire whole of mankind except a few who will not bow down and accept him as their false savior. This will happen, the people were told this throughout history, the Arabs being the last group who were told.

Why do you think ALL the peoples, the Jews, Christians, Muslims were all told this same thing? Because mankind was one nation and then became divided, but will be brought back into being under one law, with one ruler, who will be God (there is only one God).

He allows the wars allowing those who disobey his commands to kill each other. His first command he gave to Moses was Thou Shalt Not Kill. Mankind ignores this, so he allows those who are disboedient to kill each other. Before it reaches the point where man destroys everyone on the planet thru nuclear war, God will intervene sending Jesus back for the final battle, the final war.

Learn what you can now, before the anti-Christ rises and suppresses knowledge, allowing many to be misled and deceived.

actually, God's first commandment is "I am the Lord your God and you will have no other Gods before me"(Exodus20:2) and as Jesus took it further in Matthew 22:38, "Love the Lord your God with all your mind and heart and soul. This is the first and greatest commandment."

The Native Americans have to hold fast to their beliefs and teach their children what has been passed down to them. Think about if solar flares take down the power grid to 130 million people in this country, the playing field becomes more level. The Native Americans who understand how to live without technology will do well, they have known how to live in harmony with nature and sustenance has been there for them. There are peoples in places in the world that have no technology at all and they survive and live their lives. If someone comes to subjugate them they will resist and fight. They will be protected by the natural habitats that they live in (with trees, mountains), if the power grid goes down, planes will not be flying overhead to defoliate anything.

True, man's first duty is to his Lord, but what about Moses's tablets? God inscribed them and the first thing he put on them was about not killing people. That was his advice in how people were to be with each other and all the other people's of the world. When he realized people would continue killing he set up rules for that, you could only fight back in self defense, against the aggressor who is threatening you personally.

You cannot go and randomly kill random people as in a war over what they have, land, resources etc. If a war breaks out in a town, then those who win the war can take what they come up with; but the war would have to be between people living there in that land, though even that would be transgressing the bounds.

He gave land to each of the original tribes, and the land was to remain in the families, if people adhered to that, there would be no wars. Greed is what started wars. Greed and selfish ambition. We need more space, your land is better than our land we will take it....

Wars are immoral, selfish ambition of nations. Killing random people who have not done anything to you personally is an immoral act. Mankind cannot answer this, they rationalize 3,000 people died on 9/11 so we will go kill as many Afghans as we can because the man we think is responsible was living in that country at the time and some people in the country knew where he was and would not give him up, so we can kill any and everybody in that country. SOME people knew where he was is not justification to shoot and kill every and anybody else. The world does not seem to understand that.

Yes people kill people, but it does not mean we should accept genocide and immoral wars. Those Afghans (most of them) had no knowledge of where Osama was, so on what basis do we shoot and kill them, political reasons, we want a different regime in power, it is not even our country. We just boldly go anywhere in the world and tell them how things should be. I know one could argue that without military intervention the people who did not like the Taliban regime would not be able to overthrow it, particularly since they disarmed the population when they took power. I think it is up to the people in each country to determine their own sovereignty, we demanded that right when we came to America, we should allow other countries that same right.

PAKISTAN

Political leaders of the Difa-e-Pakistani Council The leaders of some 40 political and religious parties formed an alliance following a deadly US airstrike last November which claimed the lives of two dozen Pakistani soldiers.

“Pakistan is important to them [the US] because they want to demolish our economy, make us bend. They want to snatch away our nuclear capabilities. They want to erase the Islamic spirit from the hearts of the people of Pakistan,” retired Pakistan Army officers Lt.-Gen. Hamid Gul said.

The meeting was in response to Pakistani officials saying they would re-open the NATO supplies route to Afghanistan.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/232556.html

Comments: General Allen said that only 20,000 troops would leave Afghanistan by the end of this year, the rest of them wil remain there till the end of 2014 involved in combat operations. The people in Afghanistan and Pakistan have had enough of drone attacks, night raids. If we want peace, we have to stop killing those people.

IRAN

What about them sanctions? Some countries are exempt and are allowed to buy Iranian oil.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/232599.html
The United States says it has exempted 11 nations including 10 European Union members and Japan from tough new sanctions on Iran as they have reduced oil purchase from Tehran.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a statement on Tuesday that the exemption covers financial institutions from 11 nations - Belgium, Britain, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain, AFP reported.

The most important countries which have not been included on the exemption list are China, India and South Korea.

Comment: China, India and South Korea not exempt. Logically, don't you think we should be nice to China since they finance our debt?

Short Update

AFGHANISTAN

The protests have continued regarding the massacre from March 11. Additionally another old wound is about to open up.

http://www.bakhtarnews.com.af/eng/culture/item/1672-japan-assists-fourth-re construction-phase-of-bamyan-statues-unesco-representative.html
Monday, March 19, 2012

Kabul (BNA) Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture and Idgar Shareq General Director of UNESCO in Kabul signed a cooperation agreement in respect to rehabilitation of Bamyan statues.

While signing the agreement Dr. Raheen said that the fourth phase on reconstruction of the remaining Bamyan statues destroyed by the ugly hands of terrorists and its will be started with the financial support of Japan. He expressed the hope that in the upcoming year, we will be witnessing more UNESCO support in rehabilitation of cultural heritages in Afghanistan.

The general director of UNESCO said that Japan as part of its cooperation with the government of Afghanistan has facilitated the financial need of the fourth phase of reconstruction of Bamyan statues. He emphasized on continued assistance of UNESCO in protection of cultural heritages of Aghanistan.

Comment: The statues in Bamiyan were blown up because the Non Governmental Organization (NGO) wanted to provide money to the Taliban to resurface the statues at a time when children were dieing in at least one orphanage (700 died in one month), the Taliban has asked if they could use the money for the children and they were told no. They felt that is the government did not care about saving the children, they did not care about saving the statues. The Shura members voted and then asked for Mullah Omar's permission to blow them up, he gave his permission for them to do that under those circumstances.

PAKISTAN

http://www.thefrontierpost.com.pk/Taliban-commander-wants-Pakistan’s-nuke s/
Omar Khalid al Khurasani, the al Qaeda-linked leader of the Movement the Taliban in Pakistan’s branch in the Mohmand tribal agency outlined five “important goals” of the Taliban: overthrow the Pakistani institutions; release both Pakistani and “foreign” fighters; impose sharia law; obtain a nuclear weapon; and establish a global caliphate.

“First of all, we aim to counter the Pakistani government, its intelligence agencies, and its army, which are against Islam and have oppressed the mujahideen and their families,” Khalid said, according to the SITE translation. The Taliban want to “avenge the oppression of the mujahideen in the tribal and urban areas” as well as the “humiliation of the mujahideen in Pakistani prisons.”

“Our second objective is to seek the safe release of Pakistani and foreign mujahideen in Pakistan,” Khalid continued. The term “foreign mujahideen” refers to members of al Qaeda and other outside terror groups such as the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.

[Remark: Mullah Omar has stated his goal is the sovereignty of Afghanistan, he did not have ambitions to try to establish a worldwide caliphate. Though he wants one in Afghanistan. This is a difference in the ideology of the two Taliban branches, Pakistani Taliban have the same worldwide view as Al Qaida, the Afghan group just wants to live in their own enclave, the other groups want to move forward a worldwide agenda.]

http://www.nation.com.pk/pakistan-news-newspaper-daily-english-online/inter national/21-Mar-2012/panetta-wanted-parallel-intel-body-inside-pakistan

WASHINGTON - Former CIA head and current US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta wanted to establish a parallel intelligence body inside Pakistan hidden from ISI and the idea was approved by the Obama administration, a noted Pakistani author said.

In his book “Pakistan on the Brink: The Future of America, Pakistan and Afghanistan”, Ahmed Rashid said such a recommendation by Panetta, who then headed the CIA, was given some time after September 2009. The book, published by Viking, hit the stands Sunday. (3.26.12)

“Starting in September 2009, over several weeks, Obama conducted a long assessment of his options. The military wanted Obama to consider only three: dispatching 10,000 trainers, sending 40,000 troops, or sending 8,000 troops,” Rashid wrote.

NKOREA

http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/21/world/asia/south-korea-obama-visit/index.html ?hpt=wo_c2

Seoul, South Korea (CNN) -- President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit the demilitarized zone that splits the Korean Peninsula in two for the first time on Sunday. His planned visit to the heavily fortified border is part of a three-day trip to South Korea to participate in a summit meeting about nuclear security in Seoul.

Top officials from 54 countries including China and Russia will attend the summit meeting next week, but its message of international cooperation has been overshadowed by North Korea's announcement last week that it is planning to carry out a rocket-powered satellite launch in April.

Remarks: Obama himself is going there to talk to the Koreans, because as recently noted, Korea is one of the nations NOT allowed to buy that Iranian oil, so he will have to smooth that over while the US exempts sanctioning on some other countries.

PAKISTAN
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/25/world/asia/us-plans-no-disciplinary-charg es-in-strike-that-killed-24-pakistanis.html?ref=world#

WASHINGTON — The United States military has decided that no service members will face disciplinary charges for their involvement in a NATO airstrike in November that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers, an accident that plunged relations between the two countries to new depths and has greatly complicated the allied mission in Afghanistan.
An American investigation in December found fault with both American and Pakistani troops for the deadly exchange of fire, but noted that the Pakistanis fired first from two border posts that were not on coalition maps, and that they kept firing even after the Americans tried to warn them that they were shooting at allied troops. Pakistan has rejected these conclusions and ascribed most of the blame to the American forces.

Comment: I think you can figure out what the reaction to this will be.

SYRIA

http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2012/03/24/202817.html

The head of the opposition Free Syrian Army, Riad al-Asaad, announced Saturday the formation of a military council grouping all rebel chiefs, including Syria’s most senior army deserter General Mustafa al-Sheikh. The council “is a step towards guaranteeing the unity of the troops and armed forces (of the opposition) on Syrian territory,” Colonel Asaad told AFP by telephone from Turkey. The announcement came as regime forces continued to pound the protest hubs of Hama, and Homs, killing more than 40 people on Saturday, monitors reported.

http://www.thepeninsulaqatar.com/

Tayseer Allouni, an Al Jazeera reporter who was imprisoned in Spain was released earlier this month. Asked his view about the observation that the Arab Spring had weakened Al Qaeda, Allouni said, there were indications that Bin Laden had almost quit his militant ways following the peaceful revolutions in the Arab world. “In his last message Bin Laden conveyed his blessings for the Arab revolution. He said in his message that “my role has finished as the Arab streets now know what they want,” said Allouni.

Comments: Osama's role with Al Qaida was/is to create an awakening in the world of what different nations have done foreign policy wise and to try to guide people to a different path. He began in his homeland of Saudi Arabia, but they did not want reform. He organized youth in Peshawar and when the war began with the Soviets, he was elevated to the position of Spiritual Commander and logistical organizer for the mujahideen; but even that was not enough so he had to expand his role of recruiter to developer of training in the camps. He was peacefully living in Afghanistan on land given to him by a grateful Arab, when he was thrust into a worldwide media storm with the distorted image the Saudis promised he would get when they exiled him from Saudi. That's right they told him they would distort his image in the media and you know what happened after that fateful day in 2001.

I don't think he lost the vision of creating a different world and way of life, I think the way governments responded and rallied against Muslims causing the divisiveness in their ranks did sadden him. He shifted his role back to what it had been originally, being a mentor and spiritual leader. He was disgusted with Al Qaida after Tora Bora but he never actually quit, he merely changed his role as he saw other groups empowering themselves to bring about change in their lands, rather than expecting him and his forces to do it for them. Al Qaida now has become a supporting force rather than the primary instigating force for political reform in several lands, and that is what he wanted.

14,000 Syrians have now fled to Lebanon according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. They expect the number who are fleeing to rise to 100,000. With Assad estimating that 30,000 nationals would be killed by summertime, seems like a smart move to get out of the country.

http://www.albawaba.com/main-headlines/syrian-opposition-slams-un-declarati on-418096

The U.N. Security Council adopted Wednesday a statement, calling on Damascus to cooperate with envoy Kofi Annan. If Annan's plan is not implemented, the Council "will consider other actions it deems appropriate," Yet decisions made by the Council do not have the strength of a UN Resolution.

Annan asks for a cease fire, Syria to allow humanitarian assistance and release of prisoners. (does he not know all detained persons are being sent to the military hospital for torture, oh I mean interrogation.)

The Free Syrian Army set up their own Military Council to unite the factions of Assad oppositional forces. "I, Colonel Khaled Mohamed al-Hamoud, announces the creation of the Military Council of Damascus and the countryside which will be responsible for military operations in the region," said the man who announced his defection from the army last month, also on YouTube. Ahmad al-Khatib, spokesman of the Revolutionary Council in the Damascus area, in turn indicated that the new body is a "unified leadership of deserters from the ranks of the army ".

COMMENT: With regards to releasing “detained persons” they can start with the two Turkish journalists who have been missing in action. Both men worked for Milat and were last heard from when they reported being in Idleb on March 9th.

http://www.egyptindependent.com/node/730836

Syrian troops backed by tanks stormed a northwestern town on Saturday in the latest of a series of pushes by regime forces into rebel-held areas, but faced strong resistance from defending army defectors, activists said. Syria's government has been on the offensive over the past two months and has taken a number of rebel strongholds: the provincial capital and other towns in the northwestern province of Idlib that borders Turkey, the central provinces of Hama and Homs, and the eastern oil-rich region of Deir el-Zour that borders Iraq.

Reports said the defence systems would be deployed near the island of Okinawa to shoot down the rocket should it threaten Japanese territory. North Korea says the rocket will put a satellite into orbit.

A leader of Jamiat ulema-e-Islam party, Maulana Faza-ur-Rahman, Sunday told a public meeting of thousands of his supporters in the northwestern city of Peshawar that the nation will stand against the NATO supplies.

If the parliament opened the land route for NATO troops, we will target members of the parliament and their party leaders," Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) said. "We are aware that the pro-American parliamentarians have started efforts to legalize a route to NATO forces," the TTP spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan said. “We would also behead drivers openly , who take the containers to Afghanistan for NATO forces”.

SYRIA

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad issued a decree on Tuesday setting May 7 as the date for parliamentary elections, Syrian official news agency SANA reported. He will reportedly answer Kofi Annan’s requests and Annan will make a statement Wednesday in Geneva. Ban Ki Moon said Annan will be heading back to Syria very soon.

The Syrian Army is now in control of Idlib. Agence France Press cited the “activist” Noureddin al-Abdo as saying that the militants have withdrawn. Since last night there has been no more fighting," said al-Abdo, reached by telephone from Beirut. For its part, Syrian daily al-Watan reported on Tuesday that the city has fallen, saying regime forces had managed to capture it in record time. "A major operation launched three days ago in Idlib... ended in record time with army units wrapping up search operations during which dozens of armed men and fugitives were killed," Al-Watan daily said.

Meanwhile on Wednesday, the opposition was hit by resignations, with three prominent activists from the SNC announcing their demission. Catherine al-Telli, Haitham al-Maleh and Kamal al-Labwani announced on their Facebook pages that they were resigning due to differences" and the "inefficiency" of the SNC.Agence France Press quoted an official with the SNC that the there were “disagreements” between the activists and the council. Maleh said he was quitting after the council's executive had rejected his efforts to reform and unite opposition ranks, complaining its head Burhan Ghalioun was "monopolising opinion."

"All avenues for change have been blocked," protested Labwani.

CHINA/IRAN/KOREA

Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Hong Lei, said that his country will actively take part in the upcoming talks to be taken place between Iran and Group 5+1.Lei made his remarks at the daily news conference in Beijing on Thursday.

He emphasized on China's efforts aimed at playing a constructive role in Iran's nuclear talks with Group 5+1. Asked about the time of holding nuclear talks with Group 5+1, Hong noted that China is willing to take part in resolving Iran's nuclear issue with participation of all negotiating sides. 'Group 5+1 and Iran have agreed to resume their nuclear talks soon,' he added.

Kofi Annan went to Moscow to meet with Russian President Dimitri Medvedev and will be on his way to Beijing on Tuesday. "Chinese leaders will receive Mr. Annan, and officials from the foreign ministry will hold in-depth discussions with him," said spokesman Hong Lei in comments on the foreign ministry website, but did not give the names of the people who would meet Annan.

"China views as important and supports Mr. Annan's mediation efforts," and hopes the talks during his visit will lead to a "political solution to the Syrian issue" which is "fair, peaceful and appropriate," added the spokesman.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon warned North Korea on Friday that rocket launch would have effects on the international aid, as China called on all parties to keep calm.

Such an act would undermine recent positive diplomatic progress and, in its effect on international donors, would likely worsen the humanitarian situation inside the country," told an audience of government officials, diplomats and academics during a speech in Singapore. Ban also said he was "very troubled and very deeply concerned" by Pyongyang's announcement, adding it would be a "clear violation" of UN Security Council resolutions. Meanwhile on Friday, China urged restraint ahead of the launch after Tokyo said it was readying its missile defense systems to shoot it down if it posed any threat to Japan.

"All parties should keep calm and exercise restraint and refrain from actions that would complicate the issue," foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei told reporters.
Hong said Beijing had made immediate contact with North Korea, Russia, Japan, the United States and other parties when it found out about the planned rocket launch.

Japan's defense minister said Friday he had ordered officials to ready missile defense systems to shoot down the rocket if it threatens the country, just as world leaders prepared to meet in Seoul for a nuclear summit. North Korea announced it will launch a long rangerocket next month to put a satellite into orbit. Under a deal announced last month, Washington would offer substantial food aid for a partial nuclear freeze.

3.30.12 US POLICY/ BRITAIN/ AFGHANISTAN AND PAKISTAN

PROTESTING/CHALLENGING NDAA

Yep, a group of esteemed people is challenging the law which brands people who challenge laws as terrorists. Don't they know they are enemy combatants because they question foreign policy under this law?

A group political activists and journalists has launched a legal challenge to stop an American law they say allows the US military to arrest civilians anywhere in the world and detain them without trial as accused supporters of terrorism.

The seven figures, who include ex-New York Times reporter Chris Hedges, professor Noam Chomsky and Icelandic politician and WikiLeaks campaigner Birgitta Jonsdottir, testified to a Manhattan judge that the law – dubbed the NDAA or Homeland Battlefield Bill – would cripple free speech around the world.

AFGHANISTAN WAR AND PAKISTAN

How’s the fighting going?

14 Talibs and one ANA soldier killed in Paktika when a battle erupted as a NATO convoy sought passage on Herat Kandahar Highway. 3 Security guards escorting the convoy were injured according to Najibullah Najib, according to ANA Army Spokesman in Western Afghanistan. One witness said that the three guards were killed and 4 others injured. The firefight lasted half the day, and NATO air support (choppers overhead) came in shooting at the Talibs.

Meanwhile an Afghan policeman turned his weapon on nine colleagues in Yayakhil district of Paktika. They were poisoned and then shot dead according to Mnister of the Interior, Seddiq Seddiqi . Pakistani General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani met Wednesday with the head of U.S. Central Command, General James Mattis, and the commander of NATO and U.S. forces in Afghanistan, General John Allen, at Pakistani army headquarters in Rawalpindi outside Islamabad.

KUNAR, Afghanistan -- Local Afghan officials have called for a military intervention in the country's northeast after scores of suspected Pakistani Taliban fighters overran several districts in Nuristan, a remote province bordering Pakistan.

Ghulamullah Nuristani, the security chief in Nuristan, says the militants captured the Kamdesh and Bargmatal districts of Nuristan two weeks ago and have torched dozens of homes and threatened to kill local villagers who work for the Afghan government. It's not clear where the militants are from. Nuristani says they are members of the Pakistani Taliban, who control the Pakistani side of the border alongside Al-Qaeda operatives and fighters from the Hizb-e Islami group headed by notorious former warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.

Mawlawi Ahmadullah Moahad, a member of parliament from Nuristan, issued a warning to the government on the deteriorating situation in Nuristan when he addressed parliament on March 24. Moahad told parliament that the militants had crossed the border from Pakistan and had evicted hundreds of villagers from their homes and replaced them with families from the Pakistani town of Chitral, which is across the border in the Bajaur tribal agency.

A local villager says "Kamdesh is under the control of the Taliban. The men in black clothing are here. They have opened a Department of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice," Rahman says. "They are teaching religious material and are telling people to do the right things. If people violate the rules, then they get punished." Villagers receive lashes and beatings if they violate the rules, he adds. He describes the militants as armed and wearing black clothing. He says the militants have set up a shadow government, opening local offices and collecting taxes from local residents.

He says the new rules include a decree that states that all men must grow long beards and refrain from smoking tobacco. He says dozens of militants are roaming the streets in SUVs and searching locals at mosques and bazaars to ensure the new rules are being followed.

Hezb-i-Islami's leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar was quoted as saying that Afghan and American governments "don't have any practical and acceptable approaches for the solution of the crisis, the negotiation is going to be suspended". A Hezb-i-Islami representative, Qaribur Rahman Saeed, said his group was suspending formal talks because neither Afghan nor American officials would seriously consider the group's 15-point peace proposal, The New York Times reports.

The plan calls for the withdrawal of coalition forces in six months, holding new elections and possibly rewriting the Afghan Constitution. Hezb-i-Islami calls it the National Rescue Agreement. The Hezb-i-Islami or Islamic Party said it would continue informal talks on the issue, but the decision to distance itself from formal negotiations highlighted the fragility of the peace effort in Afghanistan.

Today, a Haqqani commander was reportedly captured in Khost, (his expertise was planting land mines) and a Taliban commander captured in Helmand, in Nad Ali, and another in Maiwind, they believe he orchestrated attacks in East Kandahar. They were not named.

DRONE ATTACKS PAKISTAN

Four people were killed during a targeted missile strike in Mirah Shah today and two others wounded. Two missiles were fired into a house.

MEANWHILE, the Pakistan Parliament formerly opened the debate on whether to allow NATO supplies to go from their country to Afghanistan.

All parliamentarians who took part in the debate demanded the United States to stop drone attacks and respect Pakistan's sovereignty. Some want the vehicles stopped and checked to see what they are transporting. (they do not want ammunition transported their country). Another issue is the drone strikes with most being in opposition to that being allowed to occur. Mushahid Hussain Sayyed, a senator from the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) party taking part in the debate said that the U.S. drone attacks should not be allowed at any cost and Pakistan should take responsibility for its territory.

About supply to foreign forces in Afghanistan, he categorically said that supply of ammunitions through NATO containers should be strictly banned while Pakistan should talk to the United States regarding supply of other things to the NATO. He criticized what he called the U.S "double standard" regarding establishment of peace in Afghanistan while bombing Pakistan's territory and preparing itself to fight with Iran.

He said Pakistan would strongly oppose the U.S. use of force against Iran. "We have to ensure that our relations with our neighbors, particularly Afghanistan and Iran are not spoiled," he said.

Maulana Khan Muhammad Sheerani, a lawmaker from Balochistan province feels “the concept of terrorism was introduced by imperialist forces to achieve their hidden agenda.” Maulana Abdul Malik, a member of the National Assembly from the tribal region, said that NATO supply should be halted at any cost.

Senator Saeed Ghani of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party said that it is the first government in the democratic history of the country which brings foreign policy in the parliament in order to frame it according to aspirations of the people.

REMARKS: The people do not want war and do not want to enjoin sending weapons to Afghanistan to kill fellow Muslims. For lasting peace to occur, the drone strikes must stop. There needs to be a TRUCE called. NATO and ISAF have to stop shooting, bombing Afghans. The Talibs and Tribal leaders would accept the truce and negotiate with Karzai. Mullah Omar said this numerous times. The Pakistanis were not taking up arms against their govt. before we went into their territory. Once we leave, they will go back to living the way they were living; Karzai will broker peace with the Taliban. The US cannot do that for him.
