Eric I have not been to any shows. I would like to have a good Mule Track with the new bass player to go along with the show you sent me. I don't know which is one of the best to have. I am not asking you for anything(Lord knows you have done enough), it is just that I don't know of a great one. If I am going to spend $12.95 I want it to be very good. Perhaps you could give me some advise?

Happy almost-Friday, JHawkers! Hope all are staying warm and not being knocked around by some of the storms I've been hearing about on the news. I think it's actually supposed to hit above freezing here this weekend!!! Yes - I'm excited about 30 degree weather!

Eric!!! You are the bomb!!! Nice of you to share the tunes with our fearless leader! I've started listening to the Halloween Mule and YOWZA!!! Loving it! (Thanks so much! )

Tyler - glad to hear you and Debi are enjoying the new digs! Thinking of you both and wishing you well!

And thinking of all you other fine JHawker peeps and wishing you all well, too! Good to see Chitown around again!

Tyler, that last storm was funny here-we got 1-2 inches but over by Lenore's house on the other side of town, they got 7.5 inches! It was real cold yesterday, warmer today and normal by the weekend.
Sue, I'll try to catch Oteil with both since we don't have a lot here (but it has been picking up).

Denver must be very large geographically, Jack.

______________________________________________________________________
It takes 20 minutes to get to Lenore's house from mine and she lives just a block from the western border of Denver/Jefferson county (Sheridan St.), but it is really not that far as the crow flies (10 miles?), most of the drive between our houses is because the downtown area is in between us so there is no fast way there. This particular short, but intense, storm concentrated closer to the mountains (west from downtown or my house), and north of downtown also. And Lenore is both west and north of us and her house is on top of a hill (great view, but no wind/storm break).

Howdy Hawkers. What a shame about Billy Powell. Although both MTB and Skynyrd were top favorites of mine in the mid-seventies, I slowly migrated away from LS for the better part after we lost Ronnie. Still sad to see a part of my musical past leave us. Jack you mentioned your battery died in the cold weather. I have a Honda CRV, and the battery (finally) drained in the 15 below temps a few weeks ago. I put in finally because I must have jumped about twenty cars first. It's fine now, although I do need to replace it. The point is about the stereo. When you drain or disconnect the battery on a Honda, you have to enter a security code in order to play the radio or a CD. I didn't have it. The stupid part is that if someone wanted to steal my 8 year old stereo, they would also have the serial number on the back of it, which would allow them to get the code from Honda. How dumb. I was able to get it from the dealer, so it worked out okay. I have to say that is my only beef with Honda. That car has been fantastic otherwise.

I consider Friday part of the weekend. So happy weekend jhawkers

That is amazing that there could be that mush difference in snowfall between 20 minutes of driving Jack.

I was listening to a music channel the other night and they played "Only Women Bleed" off of "Welcome to my Nightmare" by Alice Cooper. Man that brought back memories.

35 degrees in Chicago today. THIRTY-FIVE degrees. A virtual heat wave. Where's the shorts and t-shirts. Would anyone in Florida like a pale visitor from the north?

Hello JHawkers!!! Hope all are doing well.

Tyler, I'm glad to see you posting again. Also I'm glad you and Debi are happy with the house. How does Debi like her new job? Take care of yourself.

We had two swimming pool days last week. It has been too cool most days and also raining sometimes. No swimming days predicted for the next week. We will see temps in the 30's tonight. burrrrrr

We enjoyed our trip to Sarasota for the Frankie Toler Benefit and we made a stop at the Dali Museum. Very interesting.

Here is a photo from that event.
Karen, Tim Day, yours truly
