Wanted to say first of all thanks to those who bid on Kevin's signed Mule poster to help Frankie.
I have been working this week to procure a couple items to auction off for Frankies recovery.I know some of you have heard of my friend Sean Chambers, who is also friends of Frankie and his brother Danny. Frankie and Danny played on Sean's last cd :Humble Spirits", (produced by Bud Snyder) along with Bernard Allison,Bobby Torello(former Johnny Winter drummer '77 to '83) and the late Bruce Waibel (former bass player Greg Allman Band).I called Sean to see if he could offer up a Humble Spirits cd,and he said yes and even went a step further.
He also told me he would offer a promo poster for the cd signed by him and his current band.
To make the deal even sweeter, our good sista' Hilarie
(Hilarieinthefamily) has asked if both Danny AND Frankie would sign it also!
So the items to be auctioned are....
A genuine never been opned before Humble Spirits cd.
A signed Humble Sprits promo poster.
Below are pics of both the cd and poster,(unsigned at this point) and a review of the cd when it was released. I think I'll start the bid at $100.00, (it IS for a good cause! )and we'll let it run 'till Sunday night at midnight.
Thanks a bunch everyone.
~Bruce

Cd review.

Sean Chambers
Humble Spirits
2004 Vestige Records

Ass kickin' in-your-face Blues Rock. Jimi Hendrix meets Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray and Robin Trower.

Like most guitar players with a developing taste for Blues-Rock guitar, Sean grew up listening to the likes of Johnny Winter, the three Kings (BB, Freddie, & Albert), Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Billy Gibbons to name a few. Chambers was particularly smitten with the legendary sounds of Jimi Hendrix, and later, Stevie Ray Vaughan. In fact, it was these two players that inspired the young Chambers to delve into their unique styles in depth, which had a noticeable influence on his tone and touch. Sean doesn't merely play the guitar as much as he boldly attacks the instrument with a fluid ferocity and attitude that makes one stop dead in their tracks.
Over the last 15 years, Chambers has continued to evolve through regular touring, not only honing his guitar mastery, but also refining his vocal and songwriting talents along the way. In October 1998, Chambers released his initial recording effort Strong Temptation which to date has shipped more than 15,000 copies. Since then, Chambers has had a number of milestones in his career, one of which was becoming the musical director and guitarist for the legendary Hubert Sumlin of Howlin' Wolf fame. Touring the world with Sumlin for almost five years, they performed before sellout crowds at major clubs and festivals in the US, Europe, Japan, and Canada.
Following in the footsteps of many of his idols, Chambers has been especially well received outside the US, and particularly in Europe where he has both toured with Sumlin and on his own. Europe's premiere music authority, Guitarist magazine, listed him as one of the 50 top guitarist of the last century, edging out the distinguished likes of Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Keb Mo among others. Europe's Total Guitar magazine gave Strong Temptation five stars and cited the record as "the most impressive Blues debut since SRV's Texas Flood."
Chambers continues to develop his powerful style on his March 2004 release Humble Spirits, which showcases his musical evolution beyond the standard blues idiom. Produced by industry veteran Bud Snyder (Allman Brothers / Gov't Mule), the album features several notable musicians including Bernard Allison, Frankie & Danny Toler (Allman Brothers), Bobby T. Torello, along with Greg Allman Band alumnus Bruce Waibel. Sadly, Bruce unexpectedly passed away while still recording the sessions with Sean, and Humble Spirits is dedicated in Bruce's memory.Chambers is the only Tampa native performing at this years world renowned Tampa Bay Blues Festival. Sean's regular touring band consists of longtime bassist Tim Blair, drummer Paul Broderick.

Nice very nice. I miss Bruce, Have some really sweet pics of him. Yes Danny and Frankie will sign the poster and even address it to whoever is the highest bidder. I'm still working on the mushroom necklace, but there were only a few made and really were meant to stop there. A family only thing if you will.

Bruce I have something very special if you want to offer it up for bid, its an ABB cd, only 15,000 copies were made. It was to benefit the International Rett Syndrome Association.
It was recorded 6/11/92 in LA. The songs on it are:

Come on in my kitchen
Seven Turns
Midnight Rider
South bound
In memory of Elizabeth Reed
Goin Down the Road
Melissa
Midnight Blues

I'll let you do the rest with it. It is a Limited Edition so you decide what the opening bid should be. Perfect condition.

Also Frankie is thinking of auctioning off his Harley. He won't be needing it and in a year or two when he is fully recovered well if he decides he would like another he will be in a much better place to get one. I will get the details.

Nice talking to you and thank you for all you do. I will be at the hospital Friday and Saturday if you need to get that poster signed.

I think maybe instead of confusing everyone, we should bid on one item at a time. I know my brain at this point is slow to focus so easy does it. Carry on Bruce..........!!!!
You the hostest with the mostest. Now everybody join in and bid, every little bit counts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camhead is again right here. Thank you very much. Now what did you want for Xmas, was it a mushroom pendent, a vette, or a hammond. Where do you live Mr. Camhead? Maybe a special night in January is in order for all you do. Now where are all those other bidders. Don't make Mr. Camhead play by himself, ok , please.

If I don't win, I will still donate the amount of my last bid.
If I do win, the prize can go to the 2nd highest bidder, like camhead said.
Go ahead y'all, show me up!

Bruce, what am I bidding on? Your items or Hilary's CD. Or will
you have two separate auctions. I'd be very interested in Hil's CD.

Don't feel bad, Kevin. Few can participate in the bidding. It is just really tough for folks out there. I will look for your next auction. Camhead was bidding against himself last time. Another thing, people have the charities they give to every year. I help out financially with a friend who runs a private ferret cat rescue and it is a no kill facility. She is not set up as tax-exempt and that hurts her fundraising. She takes in dogs too if they show up at her door. She has them all nuetered or spayed and that isn't cheap. I am happy to count her as a friend.
