maybe you can get a manufactoring job.

wait.. Walmart sent all those jobs to China

WalMart is a retailer; they do not manufactor their own products.

I have always told upper mgmt at Walmarts, if they would hire within the US to make their own clothes for them, they could feel up all these old mills sitting around empty with production and workers. Jobs Jobs Jobs.........................I think Sam would do it....

Sam always wanted to cut out the middle man, this would a good way to start. Cut out China. Believe me, I know that China and Hong Kong which are now the same are having major labor problems over there....its just a matter of time.

Capricorn Museum Announced
Last Update: 4/21/2008 7:44:22 PM
Author: Jake Wade

Macon city leaders announced plans Monday to build a hotel, townhome, shopping complex downtown. Included is a museum honoring Capricorn Records artists.

"This was Barry Oakley's. This was a promotional T-shirt from the Fillmore East," Allman Brothers Band tour manager Kirk West says holding up the item.

When it comes to collecting Allman Brothers Band memorabilia, you can call West the master.

"A lot of the memorabilia that we have is a 30 year effort gathering and gathering. This old trunk was on the cover of The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East."

West managed the band's tours during the height of its success. Now he plans to take his 250,000 piece collection and open a musuem. But he will also loan items to a new project downtown, turning an old Capricorn recording studio into a museum.

"The Capricorn Records label put Macon on the map," West said. "There was fear around the music community in Macon and the world that the building, Capricorn's studios would be torn down."

West wants to see the legacy of Macon artists like the Allman Brothers and Otis Redding live on.

He says people often do not realize the impact the Allman Brothers band had on culture as one of the first integrated bands to tour the south.

"I think that the Allman Brothers with their racial integration really helped southern kids feel good about being Southern, as opposed to being embarrassed by it."

They also played benefit concerts to help elect President Jimmy Carter before it was ever popular to endorse a political candidate.

West says it's tidbits like that about the Macon band that he wants to make sure are never forgotten.

"It's a remarkable thing to share with people," West said.

The 4.2 acre complex housing the museum will also have an 85 room hotel.

West says he plans to open his museum, The Big House, next spring just in time for the 40th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band.

Remarks: A hotel, shopping complex and museum. How can you get involved? Well if you haven't been to Macon, go there. Gabba.org holds an annual festival where lots of people get together, there is Music, etc. Kirk sells ABB merchandise at his Kid Glove Enterprises. Get involved and get outta Walmart!

My advice is "Hold Your Piece and Keep Your Peace".

Do your best to ignore them. Don't acknowledge them when
they tell you what to do. Don't let them run you off.

Don't leave until you have another job, hopefully that pays more
and gives decent benefits.

Wharever you do,don't complain to management. That would be considered unamerican I'm sure.
And never forget the usual corporate reponse to any unhappiness with your job!

Hang in there. Is there a Costco nearby? There was a '60 Minutes' episode that showed they treat their employees well.

I have heard the same, good salaries, benefits, etc. at Costco. Walmart is a retail giant because they put the screws to everyone including their employees.
