Dave Mason is looking good.

Last time I saw him was around 1988 and he was big as a house....

That Warren picture is amazingly sharp - what kind of camera do you use?

....great pics--Dave Mason was a super guest--did two great songs & played some tricky guitar--by the way thw wahe ABB played "MAYDELL" you'd think they'd read the anti-MAYDELL comments & had something to prove on that song----& they did--they played every song with that DUANE like sense of urgency.....very powerful show

Most likely will not happen, the show is mid week and trying to get into Boston on a normal day is tough. Besides there is no parking lot scene, you park in a garage blocks away. Oh did I mention the airplanes overhead!

I am glad Leslie looks good. My buddy was a Rock promoter in the 70's and he told me horror stories about Leslie crashing and burning at one point in his life. Thank God he rebounded.

Must have been nice to see Dave Mason, I saw him sit in with Gov't Mule a few years back and it was the highlight of Mule's set. I don't know how or why Leslie West keeps infiltrating the band. Last year he singlehandedly killed the momentum of an entire show. Hope he did less damage this year.

No kidding! He's about 1/2 the size he was back during Mountain's hey-day. I don't think I would've recognized him if there hadn't been a caption.

It's definitely inspiring for ME to drop the extra tonnage!

WOW!!! I certainly don't remember reading that last year, porkchopbob!!!! I am dying to hear more comments from Peachheads who heard Leslie last night. Obviously there are at LEAST a few members of a band called The Allman Brothers who disagree heartily with you, or Leslie would certainly not be sharing the stage for the second consecutive year!!!!

I didn't see Leslie last year, but last night he was cooking... his singing is the same powerful raspy blues style as Warren, so they complimented each other very nicely. His guitar playing was also top-notch. I would say they did a better job on Sky, but Crossroads was pretty damn good also.

If anything, he built on what was already a great vibe and made it better. Watching Derek during the guests, his smile got progressively bigger with each new guest, so I would guess he felt the same way about Leslie's contribution.

Totally agree. I don't think I heard the song more than three times in my history live, and last night, it really stood out as quite catchy.

Thanks for the photos.

None taken, I wasn't there last night so I can't comment - it's sounds like everybody is pretty high on the show and had a great time. Sounds like a keeper.

I just remember a Beacon show I went to last year started out with a fairly solid 1st Set. Then, at the beginning of the 2nd set, Leslie West came out and the show never recovered. I remember myself, and most people around me, waiting for him to get off the stage. After he left the band did "Woman Across the River," "Good Clean Fun" and an extensive JaBuMa which didn't help the band regain any of the momentum they had going from the end of the first set. Just wasn't a very solid close for the band, and Leslie West always sticks out in my mind as the beginning of the end of that show.

i thought that Leslie west was awesome last night but i felt that dave mason was a total buzz kill. Maybe it wasn't all him, but nothing seemed to go right for most of watchtower and feelin alright wasn't all right. the rest of the show was great but i definitely wasn't feeling dave mason at all last night.

I thought Leslie was great both on guitar and vocally.
