Anybody check out this new 'blues' band with Steven Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd & Barry Goldberg. Released CD on Tuesday...pretty nice stuff. Some new songs & covers. Just got front row for the Bergen PAC (NJ) next week !!!!. Kinda excited about this. Haven't seen Steven in years.

I saw The Rides at The Iridium in NYC last night. They were fantastic!! I am going back to see them again tonight. My opinion of The Rides might be slightly tainted by my LOVE of Kenny Wayne Shepherd. That boy rocks. The band members seem to really enjoy performing together. Judy Collins was in the house!! Great show at one of NYC's best music venues.

I listened to the album last night and loved it. I'll be at Bergen Pac sitting with the poor poeple in the 8th row.
I saw Ten years After on Monday at Iridium . Best little music club in the city .

Best stuff by Stills in awhile. Overall, a very good record that I'll be playing frequently

I was really not expecting much . Stills was the only
attraction for me. Not really a KWS fan. I respect what he does but his style is
not my cup of tea. Alot of the times these projects that come together with high profile people
can be hit or miss.

But anyways I have listened to it a few times, and It is better than
I thought it would be. It reminds me a way of CSN. Not really music style wise but how it seems more individualistic in the sense where you have each artist doing they're own thing/ each having they're own songs instead of forming a band by fusing the
talents together as one. You have Kenny doing all his blues type stuff and then the rest sounds like a Stephen Stills solo release .
It's not bad by any means, I will take anything Stills does. I think music can be a
little over produced, and some of Stills music(his last solo effort) can be that way.
I little more rawness/ oraginc feeling is nice to have.
I could be way off base on all of this, what do I know!?!?!
