This isn’t a vine so I hope I’m not out of line here. But I wanted to bring you music lovers attention to this article I found on Jambase.com called “Most Important Shows of the Decade”. About half the shows are actually festivals like NOJF and Bonneroo. But coming in at Number 2 is Phil Lesh and Friends New New Millennium Show (as I liked to call it since we got to celebrate it twice, right?). In Oakland. There is a link to the article here: http://www.jambase.com/Articles/20970/Most-Important-Shows-of-The-Decade/3 And there is another link to a download of the show at archive.org at the bottom of the link page. That is mainly why I decided I probably didn’t need to start a vine. However, y’all let me know if you think it is a good idea and I'll try and crank something out. It would be a 5 audio disc set.

Now I can vouch for this Phil show ‘cause I was there dammit! Warren Haynes and Jimmy Herring brought in stellar dueling Southern Guitar workouts to this most jammy of San Francisco music. Warren also takes most of the lead vocals. The show was a 5 hour, 4 set marathon going through much of the Dead’s quintessential music. Plus it is a great taste of Dead music for the uninitiated since Phil puts his usual perfectionist take on this music. So check it out!

Oh, and one of Gov’t Mule’s Deep End shows is also included in the list!
