Im fairly new at trading and B&P, but Id like express my heartfelt gratitude to OldDirtRoad, Bocat and SkyDog1980 for their friendliness and generosity to this overseas ABB fan... most of all to ODR in that little town in Transsylvania, he expressed generosity unknown to me and got me started and now Ive got the fever... THANKS guys!

Many years ago I was foolishly bidding on shows from those creeps on EBay. He emailed me and let me know that many ABB shows were widely traded...

I got started here the same way as bocat. I've lost the name of the kind person who corrected my evil ways -- maybe it was you bocat who emailed me and showed me the light.

As a newbie, I'm indebted to so many people, but there are some special ones I have to recognize:
McPeach -- My mentor. He gave me my first show and took me under his wing when I first stumbled onto this site and showed me the ropes. He's been keeping the discs coming ever since.
Dino -- Unsolicited, he sent me a pile of Mule discs to get me started. I won't forget his generosity.
Bigeasy -- Also unsolicited, he opened up his list to me with a very generous offer when I had very little.
PhilBNY -- We seem to have exchanged a lot, at least by my standards, and he often adds a surprise.
Special thanks to these guys and to everyone else here. It continues to be great fun -- although my wife might not agree!
Bob

Thanks to everyone for everything......

But especially Rowland & Lana, without their labor- none of this would exist. They could make more money "flippin' burgers", thankfully though they love it as much as we do

Thanks ya'll

I've only been here a few weeks, and already have a pretty good-sized (by my standards, anyway) list thanks to the following:

DavidQ
TopDroog
finklewicz
Slammer
aekdbmoid
Houndog56
RonB
SteveH
and mcpeach.

At this rate, I'll fill up my new 200-disc carrying case in no time! Thanks guys.

Hey Everybody,

In no particular order -

To Rowland and Lana: I'm especially grateful you decided to forego a career in food service to give all of us a place to hangout,
To Hoosier: who graciously explained the whole TAO / DAO thing, after I sent him a show,
To RonB: who taught me it isn't always about getting what you want, but having what other people want to trade for,
To PhotoRon: for being the "Host with the Most",
To NYC_Barb: for straightening out that whole Rochester / Syracuse thing,
To Yurtle: for my very first B&P on this site and for showing me that lurking can be taken to an artform , Outback, Anyone?
To everyone that I have had the pleasure of being on one side or the other on B&P offers or trades or freebies,
To everyone else for some really entertaining stuff,

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, THANK You!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, if we're still reading this thread i'd like to put in my 2 cents worth.

as a part time trader here, i'd like to say that i've never had a bad experience or been "burned" by anyone on this board. very, very cool.

kudos to the skipper for the remastered shows. very, very nice sounding. kudos to clay pellard, who might THE best, nicest trader i've come accross, and if he's not he's certainly in the top three.

like to say thanks to whoever it was who hangsout at the philzone that got me over here. i forgot who it was, but they kept buggin' me about it (i had a thread over there basically saying that i missed dickey betts and the ABB setlist were not the same with him gone). it sparked 100 or so replies, and got me over here.

would like to say thanks to DINO, for the trades we worked and his humor (i teased him about his taiwan fuji's that had made in japan on the package).

would also like to say thanks to someone who i haven't seen mentioned here a whole lot and that's HOUNDDOG. had several trades with him, very cool and good trader. it's to the point now where when i get something he doesn't i just burn him a copy and sit it next to the harddrive. nice of him to reoffer those great shows (that he gets off of me LOL).

peace ya'll

steve

Thanks to:

PhotoRon, who sent me some freebies to start-I appreciate that;
Sandman, who helped me through my first BnP;
and to these other fine people:

bbart
Randall
billpaff
smokinop
aekdbmoid
Jeck
BobMeador
mcpeach
finklewicz

Now I should have enough to make my own offers and trades-once I get EAC figured out!

This is a great site. Thanks

Steve H

Greetings....I'd like to thanks Robetson for the most recent show I have received....Also Jim Benjamin for countless Derek shows, (man this feels like the Academy Awards, I know Ill for get someone..lol) and Yurtle for getting me over here...

I have been on leave if you will from many things in my life lately including trading....My 11 month old nephew passed away very unexpectantly and we as a family have been dealing with this great loss...I guess the thanks I want to make is to all of the kind souls that I have met here, and the great friendships that we all have...I have traded at other sites, but have never found such an excellent group of people who are truly friends...

Now look to the trader to your left and say "Thanks for the shows"...And "I promise to never burn TAO"......

Thanks for everything...

Steve

Steve, my deepest sympathy and condolences for the lost your family has met. As a father of two little child I can imagine the sorrow and hard times youve been through...

I want to thank everybody I have traded with or who have done a BnP for me.

Thanks to the legendary OldDirtRoad for being such a generous and overly nice fellow and turning me into this.

And big thanks for their generosity and friendliness to LinnieXX, bocat, skydog1980, Bumba, Jim Benjamin, Paul McFadyen, Garry Dempsey (from down under), lewzondane, PhilBNY, Slammer, finsky, smokinop, Randall, PhotoRon, abbmonk, Clay Pelland, fincklewiz, anpa43 and ABBDutcFan. Did I forget someone?... If I did, my sincere apologizes. I love you all.

Special thanks go to CaptSkipper for those fantastic remasters.

Peace,
Petri from Finland

Yes, we should always give thanks.

Thanks to the following, and there are too many now that I cannot remember who got me started.

Steve in CA for Skynyrd

Bob in PA for abb

Yoshinori in Japan for FREE and Bad Co

Keith in Ohio for FREE and Bad Co, Firm, and much more.

Mark in NO for MTB

Dave in England for FREE, Skynyrd, etc.

Skip for laboring over the shows.

And there are tons of people from this site as well just can't keep up with the names.

Wow, great idea !
When I started collecting years ago I came soon here to this group (the forum had another design then) and I was adopted as a newbie from a kind guy, I don't remember the name though - sorry. I remember many things but names.
Then I had to stop for some reasons and I couldn't even show my gratitude. When I came back recently, I looked thru the nicknames and didn't find anyone I could remember.
But whoever you are, wherever you are, a BIG thanks ! I'm trying to follow your GREAT spirit of sharing.
Kind regards
Peter

BTW, guys, there's still one freebie-slot open from an offer I did - trying to follow the way my above mentioned tutor showed me - when I came back to this forum months ago. After some days I crossposted it to the adopt-section. Still no response till today. Look out for it, perhaps you find it interesting for you. But you'll have to respond to one of my appropriate postings
I'm actually quite busy, so my presence here is limited and it could be that I don't respond by return. But I always keep my promises.
